USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Imperial Thread

"If your objective is simply to destroy the shield generator," says Atar, "I doubt that will work. The generator will be within the city itself, and our walkers will be far less effective inside an urban environment where they cannot manoeuvre. The city itself must be secured by infantry."

"What of our advanced team?" General Coll asks. "Perhaps they could manage something?"

"Like what?"

"Sabotaging the generator?" Coll asks. "The lovely Miss Tavel and Mr. Okmead are incredibly talented in destruction in general, as are our agents. I am sure they could accomplish something."

(Hmm, does he want a precise 'Here's their plan, then!' response, though?)

"Do you actually want to go any further in your career?" asks Atar.

"Well, yes, of course," General Coll says, preparing for a bout of sarcasm from Atar.

"Then I highly suggest that your recommendation for action is one that involves the army, Think about what will happen if that generator is destroyed. What will Nidar order?"

"Hmm, true," General Coll says. "It would need to be destroyed while we are on planet, so that he would not call for the bombing."

Coll thinks for a moment.

"Rather than the advance force, obviously we should send in the stormtroopers after they all march out of the jungle and drop down from the walkers."

"We'll need more than the Walkers can carry to storm the city. We'll need a full combined arms assault. Quite aside from the fact that the Generator is likely exceptionally well guarded anyway; I could give no success guarantee on sabotage."

"Hmm, then perhaps I should disregard the sabotage idea...for now," General Coll says. "Do we have any vessels that could carry the troopers other than the walkers, sir?"

(You don't have to call him 'sir', even though he is the senior General. Just call him 'General'😉

"Only shuttles," says Atar. "The AT-ATs are the only way we have of moving significant numbers of troops over bad terrain, and they still won't be enough, which leaves us with the 12 hour estimate you made earlier for our forces to get through from the best landing site."

(Ah, okay...)

"Indeed," General Coll sighs. "And the shuttles would be entirely useless if they were simply all going to be blown apart. Unless we could come up with a way to keep that from happening."

"We have enough to land the commando team that has been requested, though as I noted at the time this is a one-shot deal."

OOC: Fighter support?

Imperials don't actually maintain an atmospheric fighting capacity, but the TIE squadrons could be sent in if necessary, though they would not perform to their best.

If you mean to help with the blockade... then yes, but that's why I wanted the Squadron Leader here; it will be his job to handle that one.

Advance team, you start on Lanzar tomorrow.

Well, I meant both. I suppose I should of specified that.

You got your answer, eh?

Hey i'm new is it too late to join in?? 🙂
