As the beast is trampling over most things without hurting his feet, the shuttle ramming him would probably just be annoying. The AT-AT blasts will absolutely annihilate him. 😛
Thats why you go for the head mouth one fo those and it's morel;ikely the fact that our small arms fire won't work. 😛

Proton torpedoes aren't exactly small arms fire. 😛

Man just grow a pair already and do it. Shoot(coughCRASHcough) him in the mouth and I bet that'll mess him up. 😛

Torpedoes would probably help rather a lot, but the targetting system is not designed for use against organics!

Well, he's rather large, is it possible for me to shoot him with the torpedoes?

No! Proton torpedoes are designed for use against large fixed installations, preferably in space. It's a piloting roll to hit them even then; you don't want to think of ther difficulty of trying to hit a moving target on the ground in atmosphere and the targetting computwr won't help.

Meanwhile, we need to establish the goals for Lyle, Arvus and Rylis.

It would be good to find some evidence of Drakkon`s atrocities if possible. Perhaps there are some non-Osokans present that served as mercenaries during the civil war and know something? And concerning the records, I am not sure how much we can get from it, especially as there is language barrier. Ush, did I have an impression that the librarian lied about the lack of stuff that I wanted to know about in the archives?

Now there is the matter of helping Coll`s assault. I am not sure about shield generator being priority, as this is not main area of my character`s interests..... but it would be great asset if you could come up with a plan to capture Drakkon alive, there could be an opportunity during the attack. If he is captured alive, and some evidence of his "atrocities" is uncovered, it will mean the Senate Sympathy increase of +2, so even if I don`t manage to justify the invasion sympathy lose would be one point, so at least it wouldn`t be catastrophic.

Another thing are rebels, someone could try to keep their activities in check.

And I almost forgot about the Senate Mission, I am assuming that they would leave if an army was about to storm the city, political situation aside?

Edit: I understand that actual assault on the city should start at the beginning of day 4 according to the schedule, since we are not going to attack during the night?

You'd have to alert them, otherwise they wouldn't be able to leave - it's unlikely that once it's clear we're storming the city that Drakkon will let them go.

As for finding a way of taking him alive, I'll try and think of a way. I suppose the most important thing first is finding out where he is, and will be. So, for that, Lyle will head to the Guild Hall.

I'm telling you Rex let's crash into it 😛

Hmm, I am currently reading the earlier pages of this thread( instead od studying, silly me!) and Atar claimed that army has resources for one special operation( it was somewhere around the 18 page, I think) And he is the General that was put in charge of such operations as much as general coordination and planning, which happened by my decision. So it is possible that your team could get some assistance in capturing Drakkon, Lyle.

"General Atar, we spoke earlier about potential special operation being performed by our forces, and you mentioned having enough resources to perform at least one, and according to the former division of competences this is your area of responsibility. I have ordered Agent Lyle and his associates to prepare a plan to capture Guildmaster Drakkon, which I think would be only possible during the actual assault on the city. I wonder if a Commando team could aid Lyle`s team. I am willing to put Agent Lyle, Rylis and Arvus under your command for the purpose of this operation. Of course your role in capturing Drakkon would be well known, I would not like it if such competent General as yourself were only to perform off-stage tasks such as general planning and coordination, which are naturally of great importance but not such spectacular as directly leading the ground assault.

May I count on you on on this matter, General Atar?" -Commisar ends in a respectful tone.

Edit: While Lyle is dong some scouting in the Guild Hall, Arvus and Rylis could gather information elsewhere. Perhaps robot Arvus has could spy on the Rebels?

Indeed, spying on the Rebels could give us a prove that they were responsible for attacking our forces- which could be a basis to use more lethal measures.

Myself, I need to return to Lanzar after I am finished on Victorious- I have to speak with Senator Sartorius again and perhaps Drakkon, who should be pretty disappointed in the fact that Andran didn`t stop the troops being legally present on his world, as well as the blockade.

Ush, I assume that my Aide monitors the situation regarding the Commision proceedings- I need instant notifaction if they have a brake. And I can`t believe that I am unable to act as sort of "Emperor`s Observer" and have at least as much rights as non-Commision Senators, but it seems Andran has a bit too much authority here.

(And it is good that I could at least find time to reread this thread from the beginning- it started so long ago that I have simply forgotten about many things.)

By the way, I recruited an Osokan speaking guide that didn`t prove very useful at the end- I am not sure I have any further use for him- perhaps the "special" team could utilize him more?

REX was here.

It takes a day for us to get through the jungle to Lanzar City in full force, and I have not been able to order them to move out because they're being trampled. At this point, it would more likely be noon, Day 4.

How about annoying the crap out of the creature and drawing it away from the camp? Or at least distracting it enough to ignore the ground forces and giving the AT-ATs time to power up?

In the shuttle? Pilot roll.

How do you want them to find the rebels, Melkor? Last time it was an encounter of pure chance.

Though, that said, it might be worth trying to find their ships, especially since both Arvus and Rylis recognise them.

Ush, after I finish with Atar I would like to converse with Nidar alone as well.

Well, I am sure Rebels are not going to stay low, Lyle, you may well stumble upon them around the Guild Hall. They will interact with Drakkon/Senate Mission and are likely to make further attempts to sabotage our war machine. They may even try to monitor your own movements. Be very cautious.

Oh, and Ush repeated several times that political stuff is my own plotline, so not be too focused on this. I think capturing Drakkon is very demanding task.

Atar says yes, he can do that. The commando team is ready for whatever job you give it, but it is a one-shot deal.

Lyle and co might have found that guide more useful.

So is he willing to cooperate with sneak team in this matter? Good. I assume Lyle has means to communicate with Atar personally?

Now concerning Nidar:

"Well, I see that you have doubts if Army can finish the assault in time. The task is difficult, but we have mighty forces at our disposal, and we are firmly dedicated to prevail despite the demanding circumstances. Certainly, leader should always have faith in victory, especially in front of his underlings, we cannot afford to show weakness.

Of course, everything cannot go smoothly, as the recent difficulties proved. But there is always the matter of consequences, and determining ones responsible for the mistakes. Certainly, Lomax failed with the apparently basic task of maintaining the camp. And I think Lord Vader will held General Coll personally responsible for the assault on Lanzar City- I think it may be suitable to direct his anger in that direction in case of performance beyond expectations. Of course, you seem to have a firm grasp on such issues yourself , Commodore, I understand and compliment your choice of positioning Deviator the way you did- Captain Trebeis is capable officer, but unfortunately for him he seems to lack your political skills, Commodore.

We had a small misunderstanding recently, but I would like it to be forgotten. We need to fully cooperate, especially in light of the interventions of Lord Vader limiting our authority. I would like to mention your deeds in the most favorable way possible when I report to the Emperor, and I would expect mutuality in this matter. It may the the best if we compare our reports and come with relatively similar conclusions."

Pilot roll? That's fine by the General. He'll pilot the shuttle annoyingly around the creature.

I do recall these shuttles having rear turrets in the Rogue Squadron games, perhaps Commander Janthis could arm it and fire at the creature to pester it further?
