USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Imperial Thread

Feel free to ask Vader about it, Melkor. And yes, probably roughly millions.

Give the speech and go, Coll. It's time.

You have four per scthick in it, Lyle.

And how many guards are there?

Incidentally, I don't suppose they'd be big enough to blow the gates, would they? (One on each hinge, perhaps.)

There are always four guards near the front at all times. It's VERY well guarded, noticably so.

And nah, afraid not.

Coll assumes his position in front of the stormtroopers. Those who cannot see him can hear him due to the General's comlink. Commanders Janthis and Jaiden flank him on either side, standing proud and at attention, as per Coll's orders.

The General clears his throat and begins to give his speech:

"Stormtroopers of the Imperial Army! Your wait within the Jungles of Lanzar has at last come to an end. Over the past few days, you have faced terrifying hardships that this damned world has to offer. And yet here you stand! You have all stared death in the face, those horrid ancient beasts that roam these humid jungles have tried to take your lives, and yet here you stand! The Rebel Alliance has sent operatives to stir the wildlife against you, and yet here you stand! The loyal soldiers of the Emperor, ready to do his will!

"You are fearless! You are cunning! You are deadly! You are the war machine of the Galactic Empire, the most powerful force in the Galaxy! None shall stand before you without fearing your uniform! Not even these swine that you will be slaughtering by the thousands.

"The Osokan people are warriors by nature, but they lack discipline. They lack tactical thought. They lack technology. Our iron steeds, our furnace-fueled beasts, will rain fire upon their pitiful city! They completely lack any of our war machines! They cannot hold a flame to our artillery, our heavy weaponry, our armor! Repeaters? They don't have those! They have second-hand rifles, sent to them from the Hutts! Our equipment is a hundred times better, our training is a hundred times better, our Empire is a hundred times better!

"The Osokan people are infamous for their neurowhips. Armor renders them nigh ineffective! Useless! Old, rusting junk from the past era, the weak era of the Republic.

"The Osokan people are also infamous for their fearlessness. You will instill fear in their hearts as you wipe their barbaric culture from the Galaxy! Forever! These savages have had their chance; the Emperor has been merciful. But they pushed their limits. It is time for you, my stormtroopers, my fellow Imperials...it is time for you to serve justice.

"We march TODAY! We march NOW! We march to VICTORY!"

With that, Coll pumps his fist into the air to emphasive his finishing words, then steps down to return to his AT-AT.

Leadership roll, if I may, if I need to.

I can assume they have been briefed for battle and that my plan is known?

What are Rylis and co up to, btw?

I asked about something a page or two back...

Are there any other rooms/corridors/whatever branching off the main part of the hall that Rylis and Arvus could possibly scout out?

(btw, Melkor, better pass some of those riches over to those of us who are only here because they're being paid to be...😛)

Basically, I want for the two of us to get an idea of the layout of the place. Maps are nice and all, but I'd prefer to check out as much as possible in person.

And, obviously, doing so as inconspicuously as possible...

Good speech, Coll!

Lyle, you can use detonation of your minicharges to bring attention of guards elsewhere. Or Rylis/Arvus can engage guards in conversation or something.

Patiently but anxiously waiting on the update of Sartorus situation. I have no problem with walking a bit with him when Mission leaves for Starport.

The two of us are in the Guild Hall itself, though, and Lyle isn't. And I really would like to check out as much of the Guild Hall as we can, before the fight starts.

Good idea, as I suggested many times before. And I think my Aide shouldn`t be left unguarded. I assume few Stormtroopers were left with her, Ush?

Well, I'd like some input from Arvus, but really, I'm not banking on Lyle finding a map of the Guild Hall, even if he does get into the Hall of Records. Nor would a map likely show anything like if there were any defense systems or traps or things like that. So, being the mildly paranoid bounty hunter, Rylis would like to try and check as much of that out by herself.

And I'd bet that the Rebels are going to forget your Aide is in the hall at some point. Maybe we could use her to look around and flag up anyone who looks suspicious, eavesdrop a bit, and so on? I mean, I have no ideas on her skills or anything like that, but if she's any decent with Observation and Intrusion she could possibly do that.

But my Aide was/is pretty occupied- I told her to check Vader`s request to Andran, and she reported back. I also told her to pursue Matadan`s fate, with the clue being checking if Osokans have any standard way to perform public executions. And now she should be talking to Sartorus, which is pretty important, though shouldn`t take too long, she may be finished already.

I see her as a Junior version of Imperial Administrator Template- gifted and ambitious, though less experienced than the likes of Commisar, so slightly lower in skills and lacking any special features of this Template. She may have some more technical skills than standard Administrator though, as I introduced her as bit of Intelligence Specialist, though this concept was not followed in actual game. But she is certainly a bit unexpectional, since it is very rare for women to hold ranks in Imperial Military- background so far I have been developing suggests that he has come from infuential family in New Order, which allowed her to enter Imperial Academy( though she was good enough to pass it despite likely gender bias). Melkor met her two years ago at official Coruscant party, just after she graduated the academy, was impressed by her personality traits not unllike his own, and brought her to Comisarriat as his Assistant. They have had succesful working and personal relationship for last two years. Esgabath may even consider marrying her, since he is troubled by the fact that she may have reason to betray him one day. And because her family is quite influential among new Imperial Elite, as I said. (Perhaps my Senator Contact is her father?) She is around 24 years old, while Esgabath is just over 30.

Oh, it seems I was a bit bored- you don`t mind coming up with such details Ush?

Ahhh, I forgot you had her doing stuff already.

No, there are no stormtroopers with the aide.

Senators are leaving the Hall now.

Okay, than I should be returning to the Hall now as well, as I stated I was walking back for last 30 minutes. Did my Aide give me answer from Sartorus by the way? I will wait for him at the entrance to Hall.

Then Arvus or Rylis should be keeping eye on her, as they are currently in hall at the excuse of budyguarding her. And she is really much more valuable for Commisar than either of you, from his point of view.

Ush, there would be no problem with me accompanying Senate Mission as they leave Lanzar? Let`s say I want to personally ensure their safety, since Andran was worried enough to demand the escort of Revenge. I could leave my Aide behind again, though i would like her, Arvus and Rylis to leave Lanzar in an hour.

Okay, you know that ordering Rylis off the planet is going to just piss her off, and make her think there was no point to going to Lanzar and that it was just a waste of her time, right?

About the only way you'd be able to get her to leave is if she's allowed to be with the strike team that's going to go after Drakkon. Since that IS largely why she's there; to get Drakkon.

But you can't really dangle something like capturing someone like that in front of her and then be like "oh, well, I want you off the planet while the actual fight and capture happens" and expect to not have to deal with a pissed off bounty hunter.

Well, Arvus and Rylis are not keeping en eye on her, and there's no way for you to know about that either.

Andran has requested military assistance, not political, and you are in no position to guarantee his safety.

So I can`t just accompany Senators on the way to Starport?

But I have communicated with my Aide half an hour ago( and two pages ago), and I gave orders regarding Sartorus. She hasn`t responded yet?

Rylis, yes you are going to be in this anti-Drakkon team, I have been planning it for some time( and I still love your sigs, by the way). Esgabath has told you about it. Better worry about Rylis dying because of not paying attention to what her boss says.

You're very impatient. These things take time.
