USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Imperial Thread

Started by Lord Melkor372 pages

I can come with something vague like Rebel terrorists being allied with Drakkon or Treaty being infringed, and try to provide details later, would it suffice?

Anyway, I need to leave Lanzar before I can give those orders to Soldiers?

Finally, if I order the attack now, there is no way to avoid huge sympathy loss from the Senate? But would capturing Drakkon at this point be equivalent sucess?

Does it sound like a gamble Tarkin could take? My Aide doesn`t think it is a good idea, I assume.

No, I think this idea is a bit too risky for my taste.

And it would be slightly out of character for Esgabath, he hasn`t even agreed to immediate blockade....

And he always considered political victory the main challenge....

What do other players think?

I'm still waiting on what, exactly, you want Lyle doing. I suppose he might be able to cause a little havoc with explosives, but I don't know what that would achieve.

You still need a reason for the war, but I don't think we'll get that now. Unless Drakkon does something really stupid, like shooting down Imperial ships. That said, though, perhaps you could bluff him - pretend you're landing a few hundred stormtroopers in the city and fly in some empty transports. If he shoots them down, you can say that they were actually there to pick up the troopers already present, and it was an unprovoked attack. Would that possibly work, Ush?

As it seems that operation to take Drakkon will be plausible either now or during the actual battle when there is enough distraction....... I think that you may very well return with us to the Fleet.

Unless you really think you can sucessfully spy on Rebels? I don`t think so....

I am still counting on somehow justyfing the invasion.... if I can contact Sartorus in time..... it would be all over if it wasn`t for this meddling fool Andran!

I did just suggest one way to justify it. But, no matter. I'll sneak my way back onto a troop transport.

I can try this idea..... but I don`t think that Drakkon will go for it....

Does this idea seem plausible, Ush?

You know, the attempt to bribe Sartorus has been actually my last resort of the kind- and it was succesful, but I don`t know the results yet. This game is far from over....

And we don`t know what is going on in the Fleet- I think I need to go back as quickly as possible.

No, Melkor, that would not suffice. You must do this right and have unequivolcal reason for war if you wish to win the political side.

Lyle- that wouldn't work because they would direct landing clearance to the starport. Troops transports of any reasonable size cannot land in the city anyway. Besides, Andran has made his opinion of Imperial military messing around in Senatorial jurisdiction clear.

Ok, is everyone heading back then?

Melkor, one of Sartorus' aides is by your shuttle.

Of course I will speak with him!

He has a datapad for you.

"As you requested, Commissar," he says. "Details of the final agremeent reached by the Commission."

"Oh, thank you."- Commisar smiles.

I cannot request some private communication channels of Sartorus from him?

And I didn`t request it in particular, right? I mean the final draft......

Senators are a bit canny about that kidn of thing.

Still... you don't remember requesting such a thing. And if you did it would be from Andran.

So the logical thing would be to read it at once......

Darkside, don`t leave me....

Well, yes, exept in that it is very long and complex.

I am starting to read it in my shuttle, on the way to Victorious....

I will take logical aproach, moving through basic things to details. Can my Aide help me a bit with analyzing, like making notes when I tell her?

What is the essence of it? And anything out of place? Is it the real final Treaty?

Also, Sartorus emphasized the matters of..... full representation, was it?

Also, my Law skill is good but not great..... I will use Fortune to roll twice on any relevant roll, or with Observation skill if it is relevant.- It isn`t like I need to save my luck for combat, I don`t intend to fight anyone. This is the ultimate challenge.

So, is Lyle coming back up with Arvus and Rylis or is he staying here? We can delay our departure, but I would prefer to get off this rock.

It seems he is coming back to the Fleet.

Commisar would like the three fo you to report to General Atar, and discuss plans to capture Drakkon. Travis seems to have a pretty good grisp on this, and he isn`t particularly optimistic, so it is likely that we would have to wait till the attack on city. Still, we really don`t want him to escape.

Alright, sounds good.

Arvus will head back to the Needle, then.

Oh, and of course MARSHALL Atar, not General.

How about Marshall Coll, Admiral Trebeis or Grand Moff Esgabath, by the way? 😉

And the rest of you...... okay who wants to become a Primate of Ferradyne? I remember that this peaceful religion happens to attract some violent types....

Emperor Arvus? What?
