Esgabeth: 40/43

Osokan C: 37/15

Lyle: 38/36

Osokan D: 39/47

Now Double Shot and Active Dodge only. And repeat if I am offline later.

Once more!

(Assuming I kill D) Lyle turns with a twirl of his coat as the Osokan falls to the floor.

What's the damage limit for these Osokans? 50? 60?

Coll, what is your plan for dealing with shield generator?

Artillery bombardment from within the shield, of course. The Imperial Army has artillery pieces and heavy mortars dating from the Clone Wars that should do the job perfectly. They'll set up all around the City and continue bombardment until the shield is down, and then continue to bombard the City until there is threat of hitting our own troops.

Once the shield is down, the AT-ATs will blow the gates open and the stormtroopers will begin their march through them.

Hmm, Ush confirmed that it sounds reasonable, right? I assume that Atar and his staff are reviewing the plans as well.....

Now, what about the part of battle after you destroy the shield? Fighting in the city will be bloody....

I want the artillery to be repositioned to assist in dwindling the Osokan numbers, as well as firepower from the AT-AT, if it can reach Osokans through the gate with its might guns. There are also likely heavier stormtrooper regiments that pack the rocket launchers and concussion rifles seen in the Jedi Knight games.

If AT-STs can be manuevered into the City, that would be intensely useful, though most likely less feasible than just sending in the troopers.

Speeder bikes might come in handy.

My plan is to take as much advantage of our technology as we can. They've got a bunch of dinky blasters, we've got walkers and explosives and the like. We're also the superior shots, I hope.

But the main target in the city is Guild Hall, yes? Actually, I hope that Lyle, Rylis and Arvus can get to the city after the shield is off, perhaps accompanied by what is left of strike team. We really need to ensure the capture of Drakkon, last thing we want is his escape to lead the querilla warfare. But he is proud, and i think that it is unlikely that he will escape while batttle is still being decided.

Oh, and you understand that main problem will likely not be their gunners, but our men being forced into melee on the city streets? We cannot crush them all with artillery and walkers in the time constraints we are operating under.

Your strike team will probably no longer exist shortly...

The capture of Drakkon is not Coll's concern. You've left it up to Atar.

I'm afraid that the stormtroopers will just have to deal with the melee Osokans and keep them at a distance with concentrated fire. Other than that, not a clue as to how it's supposed to be different than any other combat situation of melee vs. blasters...well, other than lightsaber vs. blasters, of course.

40-45, I think, Rex. Can't be dead on 40, since one of my opponents was on that just before I dropped him.

Well, I think it is all voer in that Osokan fight. You're never going to kill them but you are going to have dropped them all before any of you drop.

With Travis virtually throwing the Commissar inside, all of you have made it to the escape shuttle.

Travis is alive then? How severe are our injuries, and what healing capabilities are immediately availible?

Commisar wipes the blood from his uniform, giving a sigh of relief that they made it. Pity that they weren`t actually able to kill the assaulting Osokans.....it reminded him of his brother, who should have been dead as well, 10 years ago.....

"They will pay for this, now those savages have revealed their true faces to the entire galaxy. Commander Traviss, your fullfillment of your duty was excellent, and you have my gratitude. And you as well, Agent Lyle."- He gives a very faint smile, as medical personnel tends to his wounds.

Okay Ush, now we need to return to political situation. I will immediately contact my Aide to start preparing the relevant announcements. I want to do it properly to satisfy the Sanate- what legal measures are most apropariate now? Can I declare war, or perhaps is is just a "peacekeeping operation"?... I assume this attack is a breach of Treaty and invalidates it, making Drakkon an illegal ruler of Lanzar as well?

Err, a bacta tank? Will kinda take you out the running though. Your injuries are niot lethal, but inconvenient.

---

Yeah yeah, all deals are off, you are feel to do whatever. Feel free to make it sound good.

I will propably have to wait till tomorrow with making a longer post though.

I think I will request Drakkon to open the city to our forces, that shall disarm the mob and Guilds, than we shall seek those responsible for starting it. Bu this is all irrelevant, since Drakkon will refuse it anyway, and then we can safely order his arrest. Does it seem logical? So legal-wise, I will issue a decree sanctioning the military operation to restore peace, giving civil jurisdiction to Commisariat which I think should be apropariate in military situation, and issue an arrest for Drakkon. I have pretty broad options because of all those emergency legislation, right?

Mentioning Rebel Terrorists being presenct wouldn`t be a wise thing at this point?

Some other ideas to gain sympathy- I think expressing concerns about Senator`s Galahad safety to the Senate may be good- at this point, he is either taken hostage... and if he isn`t, he should leave, right?

Concerning Matadan`s fate, I don`t have hard proof, but between what the Osokan keeper of records, Ardonel and my Aide told me I am almost sure that Drakkon executed him, most likely feeding him to raptors. I think I will ask him myself about it, since after I make the announcement I will be contacting Guild Hall, also to check what`s going on with Galahad. I don`t see why Drakkon would deny that he killed Emperor`s pawn at this point...

"Thank you, sir." Lyle says, brushing himself off. "Will you require me for anything else?"

He looks composed and confident, as if he hadn't been fighting for his life moments before.

"The main issue for me now is ensuring the capture of Drakkon, since the rest belongs to General Coll. I hope I can count on you, I am confident that you can keep our Bounty Hunter and Assasin in check. By the way, would you like to become an officer Agent working for Commisariat? I think I need people like you."

Ush, you won`t comment on what I said above. Anyway, how heavy losses has the strike team incurred? And I assume that other Stormtroopers in the city have been lynched by mob, so it looks even better in terms of justyfying military operation? It doesn`t seem like Drakkon tried to stop it....

Feel free to blame any part of the situation on Rebel terrorists; it's all a bit bye-the-bye now anyway.

Strike team is blown; one shot deal.

All contact has been lost with troopers in the city.

OOC: Okay, I will try to post this later today, but since my personal computer is not working, there may be a delay. Commisar`s second action after announcing the peacekeeping operation will be trying to contact the Guild Hall to speak with Drakkon and possibly Galahad, and at the end of the day he would like to call the final conference of senior officers before the assault on the city, to see if plans and preparations for battle have been developed. Than he should have some well deserved sleep.

The announcement:

"Citizens of our glorious Empire! Unfortunately the situation on Lanzar has reached the critical point, a possibility that Commisariat has warned about. During a political meeting with one of Osokan leaders, Imperial Commisar Esgabath was treacherously ambushed, without any warning or reason, and it was only for the excellent reaction of the Imperial military that he managed to barely escape with his life. Yet Imperial soldiers protecting him were ruthlessly slaughtered, not only by the warriors of the devious Lodge, but it seems that general population of the city has started the riot against any Imperial presence. Instead of loyal Imperial citizens, we now see the bloodshirty savages that this race was always famous for, the barbarians that have been always causing fear and mayhem to the Galaxy- faint hope that it would change is now non-existant.

The Osokan authorities and the so-called "Guildmaster" Drakkon have apparently done nothing to protect the life of the direct representative of Galactic Emperor and stop the mob from spreading violence and bloodshed. Indeed, the fact that the large amount of Osokans were armed with advanced firearms is extremelly suspicious itself, as Imperial Taskforce was involved in tracking the illegal weapon smuggling to the planet, and now those weapons are being used against the Empire itself! It seems that Drakkon might have been trying to mislead the respected members of the Senate Commision, that were honestly giving their best efforts to bring the world of Lanzar back into Imperial Order, while Drakkon and the Guilds were preparing for war - indeed, the immediate response of the current Lanzar goverment to this situation was the raising of orbital shield, manifesting their willingness and readiness for war against the Imperial Order. And the matter of suspected Rebel Terrorist presence on this world cannot be overlooked, as they would love nothing else but to challenge Empire`s efforts to bring peace and stability to Lanzar, and the murder of Imperial Commisar would be a great testimony to their cause of chaos and anarchy! Their involvement shall be dully investigated.

Such a mockery of Imperial Authority, and authority of the Senate itself shall not remain unpunished! The Commisariat, acting on the authority of the Emperor, as empowered by the emergency legislation of the Senate, is issuing an Executive Decree number 1189/B, authorizing the military operation to restore peace and order to Lanzar by any means necessary. The legal jurisdiction shall be transferred to the military under the supervision of Commisariat in the light of the extreme emergency situation.

Drakkon and his so-called "goverment" are now given the last chance to show their willingness to comply with Imperial Order. The gates of the Lanzar City are to be immediately opened to the Imperial Army peacekeeping forces aproaching it, and full aid is to be given to their efforts to disarm the hostile elements, determine and prosecute those responsible for inciting the riots and the attempt to murder the Commisar, as well as further measures to stabilize the situation.

If Drakkon`s goverment doesn`t respond with immediate and unconditional compliance with those demands and cooperation with the efforts of Imperial Taskforce, that would allow for limiting the unnecessary violence and loss of lives, the Army will engage in full-scale military operation, in order to overthrow Drakkon from his position of power- an arrest warrant shall be immediately issued, and he shall stand trial for all his present and past crimes; as well as to dispose of any organized resistance.

Further measures to solve the issues of Lanzar will be then looked upon. It seems that the extremally violent and hostile tendencies of Osokan culture will be never removed without outside effort- certainly the citizens of Lanzar must fully understand that the consequences of their defiance to the Imperial Order will not be tolerated to the extent that it was under old goverment. Certainly the Guilds must be again disbanded, as their previous restoration clearly shows us that Osokans seem to be unable to learn on their errors, and hope that their violent culture could remain unchanged and become the part of the wider galactic community was false- this chance, given by Emperor in his gratitude, was clearly rejected. The Osokan society has to undergo significant changes, and it is likely that wide-scale re-education programme is necessary for Osokans to understand their place in Imperial Order.

But one thing remains beyond any doubt- Imperial Military and Administration, under the wise guidance of His Majesty the Emperor , guarantees its willingness and determination to ensure by any means that the world of Lanzar and its inhabitants will never again become a threat to peace and order in the galaxy, and safety of Imperial citizens, as it happened many times in the past, and now again with such atrocities as massive smuggling of the most lethal lifeforms. All those that put themselves beyond the greater good of Empire and its secure society shall learn that their punishment will be swift and fully adequate to their crimes, and at the end we shall have .... PEACE... on Lanzar."

Ush, I will immediately try to contact the Guild Hall after broadcasting this. All relevant information will be send to the Senate, of course.
