USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Imperial Thread

Started by Ushgarak372 pages

There is no answer from Lanzar; no further communications.

---

Which is actually indication of Rebel failure. Better diplomatic efforts from the Rebels could have caused a considerable diplomatic coup for them at this point, but instead the Lanzar silence, whilst defiant, is merely incriminating.

This brings to an end the political phase of the game. You have clearly won- war is on Lanzar, in the Emperor's time limit, and without any Senatorial hassle. Oh, many Senators will debate and question, but the fact that they really did try to kill you, so soon after a political settlement, means that nothing will come of it, not even from the most virulently anti-Imperial Senators.

Sartorus- who was not trying to kill you, btw, though he did have it in mind that the Guild leader would try something stupid- has got pretty much all he wants. You can live with that. Your means have been brute forced through, and as the Rebels neglected to oppose you on that front, it didn;t need to be any more clever than that.

There are a few things to tie up with the Rebels as they try and salvage the diplomatic situation- and then it is war war war!

Then Janthis makes things go boom

and Coll smash

Oh yes, the Rebels. Do I have any ways to communicate with Galahad or Duchess?

If not I am going to quickly contact the Senate leadership and perhaps Galahad`s homeland about the situation- I will tell them that I am extremally concerned about his safety, and Commisariat and Imperial military have the safety of Imperial Senator as one of their top priorities. He surely has no more reasons to stay on Lanzar if he wasn`t taken hostage, right?

Oh, and my Aide is to check the record of Galahad`s career, including the parts of Imperial Databases restricted to all but highest ranking people, and if we have any infortation of other people seen with him- like this Captain Ragnor and Duchess....

Oh, and Esbabath is quite happy then- I assume that Emperor wouldn`t mind that war was caused in not the most elegant way, as long as I got the result? At last I have proven that I am quite willing to endanger my life to fullfill his will, even if I couldn`t outsmart Andran in the matters of law.... concerning Andran this is a blow to this annoying bastard, isn`t it? Esgabath hates him, if someone hasn`t noticed...

Concerning Matadan, what I said before cannot be confirmed? I think that Senate Mission Senators can confirm whether he was fed to raptors... Sartorus wouldn`t mind telling me at this point, I think.

Woohoo destruction!

Zink, we still have plans to make, though.

Hey Ush by the wya how far away is the army now?

I hope I can count on you, I am confident that you can keep our Bounty Hunter and Assasin in check. By the way, would you like to become an officer Agent working for Commisariat? I think I need people like you."

"With all due respect, sir, I think I must reject your offer," Lyle tells him. "My effectiveness as an Imperial agent would be severely curtailed by the attention it would bring."

I can't imagine any agent would like to be officially recognised and promoted - if any rebels were to find their identity they would probably be made useless, or killed.

Should now be the time to begin finalizing the plans for assaulting the City?

Yes, Coll, and Commisar wants to call a final briefing. I assume you can communicate with us from your AT-AT?

Oh, and I could send message to Naboo regarding the Duchess as well. Commisar wouldn`t like a young Noble to be taken as hostage or murdered by Osokans, and let it be known. It isn`t like he didn`t warn her to leave the planet with Galahad.... as he was worried that she was dealing with dangerous elements. Her Queen should be aware of this.

I will begin working on the finalized planning, then. I will also be including contingency plans...

I'm away for the next week, but it doesn't seem like I'm needed, anyway.

Okey, I'm back and I'm operating from my computer in Russia. Seems I got the right timing to come back, just for the invasion 😉 Melkor, congratulations for winning us the political battle and getting out of the Guild Hall alive.

Thank you.

And have fun Lyle, though you will still be needed for Drakkon stuff, I think.

Coll will begin to finalize his plan...

-

1. Upon reaching the City, the Army will spread out as evenly as possible in a circle around the City, just on the edge of the shield. Then, the stormtroopers, artillery units, and AT-STs will be marched through the shield.

2. Once inside the shield...

a) Artillery Units will be targeting the shield generator and firing at will until the shield generator is destroyed

b) Stormtroopers that are not with the Artillery Units will be providing covering fire, doing whatever it takes to keep the Artillery funcitioning and defended; they'll be shooting at our opponents atop the wall

c) AT-STs will be doing likewise, blowing chunks out of the top of the wall to drive back our opponents

3. Once the shield is down, the AT-ATs will annihilate the four gates to the City and the stormtroopers will converge on these gaps in the walls. E-Web cannons will be set up at the front of the army, delivering as many volleys as possible before the stormtroopers march past.

4. The battle is joined, the stormtroopers march into the City and fire away at their opponents until our opponents are no more. Artillery Fire will be directed at the Guild Hall and at hotpoints of Osokan activity; the commanders of the stormtroopers will keep in touch with the artillery commanders, letting them know when the artillery needs to be called off for fear of hitting our own soldiers. AT-ATs and AT-STs will be providing long-range fire into the City through the gates, if possible.

-

Contingency!

3. If the Artillery Units fail to take down the shield and are unable to continue with the operation, then the stormtroopers will climb the walls. I want the stormtroopers each to be equipped with a grapping hook that can be fired from a launcher so that they will make it up the Wall.

4. Once on the wall, the stormtroopers will fight to clear the Wall of Osokans and hold the wall.

5. Once the wall is taken, the stormtroopers will fire down on our Osokan opponents until they have dwindled sufficiently for the stormtroopers to descend and fight them without artillery fire or AT-AT covering fire.

6. If they succeed this, they will then march to the shield generator and use whatever firepower they can muster to destroy it.

-

And that's that. Feel free to comment, anyone.

It sounds good, though I wonder about the effectiveness of artillery....

Ush, Commisar would like Atar to review this plan, as he is the superior officer, hopefully Travis could give input as well- Commisar gained much respect for him recently.

Also Coll, I am afraid that the fighting inside the city part won`t be as simple as you make it. What tactics do you suggest as army advances through the streets?

And if you fire too much at the Guild Hall, Drakkon will either die or more likely run and we may never find him.... Arvus, Rylis, Lyle, any ideas for this? You could land after the generator is down, I think.

I want the stormtroopers to keep their Osokan adversaries at range for as long as possible, concentrating fire on those closest to them. The E-Web cannons should help greatly, should we be able to deploy them.

I find it highly unlikely that Drakkon will be in the Guild Hall during the battle, really...

What formation will they use in the city? Remember that discipline and organization is our main advantage. We cannot let Osokans ambush us and break the formations.

And why wouldn`t Drakkon stay in the Guild Hall? It seems like a logical place to command the battle from, he seems to be too intelligent to fight in the front line.....

Ush, after the generator is destroyed, couldn`t we sent probes to monitor the situation around the Guild Hall so we know when Drakkon is running away?

Up high they can only see as much as your ships can.

Down low they are targets.

We are waiting for Rebels with other stuff?

He's an Osokan, Commissar; I find it highly likely that Drakkon would be on the frontlines to fight us back. After all, Rogan spearheaded the Osokan forces of the Bureau...

The stormtroopers will be in standard formations, whatever those are. I think it's a given that they will organize themselves, whereas the Osokans will not.
