USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Imperial Thread

Started by Lana372 pages

Hmmm, I vote we clear the pigs out a bit...but I do want to eventually get up to where they have the catapults.

Rylis will again fire at the Osokans, and dodge if a named character (aka Sasha) decides to shoot again.

Independants are perfectly at liberty to give Stormtroopers ideas; they know that the independants have been sent by high authority. But yiou need the right skill set to order them effectively.

Trooper losses from Commanders are slightly refilled between tactical turns but there are losses everywhere and they cannot simply max out their men.

And Travis is not your Merit. The people the Rebels are fielding are theirs.

---

At the South Wall... the engagements continue. Jaiden Heavies down another Osokan... but he cannot stay out of melee forever; he has one more turn before that melee reaches him.

Eerin has disappeared! Kyle blasts down another.

The troopers are starting to make their way up.

-

At the street fight...

Rylis blasts away at the Osokans some more. The osokans are advancing under extremely heavy fire! But another ST fals.

Arvus, still being blasted at by Zalandos, dives into the cover of an abandoned building!

Sasha is still blasting away at Rylis...

Osokans are entering melee!

-

At the North Wall, Janthis simply continues. But a sallying force of Osokans has come to meet you!

-

In the air battle, Cass goes looking ror Ulrand but canot find him amongst the whirl of identical TIEs. Ulrand is still not contributing towards attacking, however. Rhus fluiffs his shot on a TIE but Scarlet in the turret and Cass looking for his foe both bring down bad guys.

AERIAL BATTLE

RFT: 3

Black Dawn: 7

Ulrand's TIE: 0

TIEs x15: 0

General Coll reviews each situation via hologram, having moved to the comm center in his AT-AT. He clicks through the battles, bringing up different communicators each time.

To the AT-STs and AT-ATs in battle for the South Wall-

"Maintain holding pattern. Commander Jaiden is successfully blowing through the midway point. He may be able to capture the top of the wall, this time."

click!

To the AT-STs in battle at the Street Fight-

"Target the buildings housing the Rebels and their precious catapults. Open fire! I want those catapults turned into matchboxes and splinters!"

click!

To the AT-STs in battle for the North Wall-

"Target the top of the wall. The Osokan infantry there is proving to be a nuisance. Open fire."

click!

"Ulrand, what the bloody hell are you doing up there, having a tea party? Shoot them down or I'll have your neck..."

click!

Coll returns to his own present situation, stepping away from the comms unit to watch Jaiden fight his way up the wall.

"Where'd that giant bug get to...?"

From the safety of the abandoned building, Arvus raises his railgun, but realizes that he will only manage to blow away stormtroopers as the Osokans have entered melee.

"Damned close combat bastard pig things from hell," Arvus snarls, clicking his railgun into the magnetic holster at his hip and reaching for his bowcaster.

He heads for the roof.

Hmmm... I have a feeling that I don't want to stay in Midway when the Osokans get into Melee. Plus, it seems like Eerin is coming to the midway part.

Jaiden and his men will ascend to the top to join the 58 stormtroopers left there. Jaiden will signal the 80 stormtroopers that are not in his platoon to remain in Midway to clear out the Osokans until further orders from him. The 90 stormtroopers at the bottom of the wall will be ordered to continue ascending to the Midway. By the time Eerin arrives he will find about 5 Osokans left and him surrounded by 170 stormtroopers. Perfect. Once Jaiden will be atop the wall, he will use a flamer on Kyle if in range, if not, then Jaiden will shoot with his Concussion rifle if it won't hurt his own men, or he will shoot with his light pistols at Kyle if the concussion rifle would be doing friendly fire.

Janthis will keep his snipers focused on the top of the wall along with the AT-STs. Now if the Rocket guys can get a good shot without shooting my guys Janthis will have them fire on the Osokans near the wall. If they can not get a good shot then I want them to continue to fire at the top of the wall.

Janthis though will order his men and the troopers near him to open fire on the Osokans near the wall. Janthis will also take aim and fire at one.

"Stormtroopers can handle the rest of the pigs for now, we cleared them out enough..."

I want to jetpack up to the top of a building around here (and find some cover up there) while firing at Sasha, and dodge against any attacks she makes at me.

I understand that Jaiden`s men are using those grappling hooks, that Coll ordered to be prepared for all soldiers, to ascend?

Jaiden, as noted before the way up the wall is blocked by the Osokans and climbing up there will take some time. And no, everyone does not have a grappling hook, not that it would make much difference.

And so Jaiden is now leading his men up, but that's not actually increasing the flow of men moving. The lack of Osokans in the middle has changed things though.

This leaves us in a double-precarious situation; Eerin has rushed down to the middle just in time to find himself massively outnumbered, whilst janthis has advanced to a precarious position up top.

-

Inside the city, Rylis jetpacks over to an upper building whilst trading fire with Sasha. Sasha shoots extremely well, though... and Rylis is forced to withdraw from the fight. Arvus climbs atop his buolding.

The AT-STs open fire on the building where the catapults are, unseating one and causing various amounts of damage to those standing there. But catapult fire is concentrating on the STs now, as the Osokans are in melee with the troopers.

-

To the North, Janthis' men slow to engage the defending Osokans. And in this they do well... but he is running out of men.

-

With no Imperial posting from the aerial battle I am declaring that a default Rebel victory. As a reward the Rebels instead will make a one-off air strike this turn in their victory as their ships strafe the Impeiral lines; defending ground fire means they only get to do it once.

I hope this will make the Imperials think twice about taking actions from players who will not follow through. Don't exploit people just for their abilities.

NORTH WALL GAUNTLET

Osokan Warriors atop walls x111: 0/10

Osowan Warriors by walls x 30: 0/10

Troopers (three turns from walls) x71: 0/10

Janthis' troopers (three turns from walls) x33: 0/10

Commander Janthis (three turns from walls): 0/8

AT-STs (away from walls) x5: 0

Janthis will ask for the AT-STs to began moving forward and attack the Osokans ahead of him and his men. The Support troopers will keep up covering fire on the top with Snipers and Rockets.

Janthis will order his 33 Men to maintain fire on the Osokans will he and the 71 others will began to Charge the Osokans near the walls. If Janthis can shoot at them while running he will do so.

It will take them a turn to catch up with your men.

Will they be able to fire at the Osokans near the wall while moving though?

Well, TBJ has made a post in Matrix game, so I was hoping for him to join here as well, too late it seems. I am not sure how you can say I am "exploiting" someone. How exactly is it my fault that not all players are active, despite my efforts?!

"The Navy is performing beyond expectations in this battle, so far. I think that only Victorious`s fire has achieved something." -Commisar remarks to Nidar.

Janthis, remember that your goal is to plant the mines.

Of course, I meant "below" expectations, not beyond....

Ush, can I give order to kill every Osokan in the city and take no prisoners, or should I leave this to Vader?

It's exploiting because you were pulling in someone who was not otherwise going to play purely because you wanted something of theirs.

You mean it like I am forcing someone to play this game, which is a bit ridiculous, I feel. It seems that some people just went on vacation, how it is my fault?!

Well he's not on vacation and could have posted if he wanted. The fact of the mattter is that if someone is not playing but you deliberately encourage them to try something which then needs following through, it's your own fault if you get burned because they don't play enough to do that. You knew they weren't playing much.

I feel the lure of trying to get the benefits of a Squadron Commander's Merit overrode a judgment on whether the player was going to contribute or not.

Well.... I think that you may be right in case of Barb, but TBJ was always posting just when his action was needed. And it isn`t like the world has ended because he missed a turn or 2.

Anyway, my Commisar is all about exploiting people to get what he wants anyway, so perhaps I am just sharing his attitude.

I know and right now my goal is to have the Osokans near the wall dwindled down enough in the next three turns to actually be able to do that.

While keeping enough troops around to do it. Thats why I'm moving the AT-STs up now.

And now Coll has to fear for his life as a light freighter and a starfighter dive-bomb him...

-

Coll grins as he spots the Geonosian popping out near the midway point of the wall, massively outnumbered.

He reviews the other situations, then tells all units to be wary of incoming fighter craft.
