"That may not be a bad idea, see if we can find any information ourselves. It would certainly be better than doing nothing until the rest of the Imperials arrive."

"I agree. Let's go take a look..."

Arvus will head off in the direction of the shield generator.

"Aren't we supposed to take down Drakkon, or something? It was mentioned, but I don't think it went through."

"I do not know. It was brought up, yes, but it seems as though they decided to abandon that thought, or at least push it aside, when they decided for us to come ahead of time to gather information." Rylis says, as they headed off to the shield generator. "I must say I was rather surprised with the bickering there was between the officers. I am used to Imperials being more professional and adhering to chains of command and such."

"Seems they're not accustomed to working together, being an elite new team and all," Arvus says. "But whatever works for them."

Arvus looks to Rylis as they walk. "How'd you come to fight for the Empire?"

"Bit of a long story; put short, one of my more reckless actions put me on the bad side of the Empire and our Agent friend Lyle helped me out of that tight spot. I've stayed working with the Empire because they pay the best, though many of them do not trust or particularly like me. I suppose that's all part of the profession, though, and I can't say I'm bothered by it." she replies. "How about yourself?"

"General Coll had a problem that needed solving on the word of Bosthmir I and II, I fixed it for a handsome fee," Arvus says with a grin. "He had heard of my skills in serving the Arkanian Nationlist League at home."

"Ahh, yes, I believe I heard of those troubles." Rylis says. "One thing I regret about this mission...I doubt there will be any time for me to check up to see if there are any bounties I could collect. The Empire pays well, but it's never a wise idea to get too reliant on a single...employer, if you will, in this line of business."

"I have only ever made killings for the Empire and the ANL," Arvus says. "And I've got the Arkanian Needle and Butch to attest to the wealth I can make from it..."

"You never can tell when they may just decide they have no further use for you, though, and I would rather be prepared for that eventuality. After all, keeping all of my equipment and my ship in perfect working order, while very much essential, is also rather costly." Rylis replies. "The Empire does by far pay more than any of the crime lords I have collected bounties for, but I do not expect them to want to keep me in their employ forever - so I keep all my options open and continue to look out for other bounties."

"Trust me, Rylis, the day the Emperor sends away those loyal to him that have served him well in killing his foes is the day the Empire falls," Arvus says. "It's how the Empire works. And it pays more than enough for my needs, better than the League, as you say."

"That may be so, but I have long since learned that it is best to not come to rely solely on a single employer. Especially not one that you have a rocky past with. You know of the Empire's ruthlessness as well as I - and I simply do not trust them."

"Fair point. They are headed by the Sith, after all. Not exactly the trustworthiest of them all."

"Indeed. And you know as well as I that the general feeling towards bounty hunters and assassins is not one of any respect; rather it's more as though we're just a necessity to do dirty work they do not wish to do themselves." Rylis says. "We are feared, not respected....and fear only lasts so long. Therefore, I plan ahead."

"I can probably outshoot a majority of the Imperial army, and it only takes one well-planned trap to do in a whole lot of them, so the fear of me won't be diseminating any time soon. I would give anything to be that Vader fellow; I bet EVERYONE in the Empire fears him."

"I suppose I simply am more distrusting of the Imperials than you....though I must say, from what I've seen of the Stormtroopers, claiming to be able to outshoot them is not that great of an accomplishment. And of course they all fear Vader, who wouldn't fear someone who could kill you without drawing a weapon or touching you? I will certainly admit that such skills would be very useful."

One of you already checked out the shield generator...

DON'T LEAVE THAT GUY ALIVE!

You just confirmed that you're working for the Imperials - direct confirmation, Lana, and now he can go tell the Osokans. All he had before was you beating him up - no direct connections.

Also, if you're gunna kill him, may as well try and find out about the "outsiders" - our unorganised friends...?

Um, Ush, if we've got time, Lyle would like to meet up with the others.

If you insist...

Any chance I can ask the guy a few more questions? And then kill him? Silently?

Well guys, since it looks your like really steeped into it, I'll just join in next episode. If you didn't go that far and could give me a recap, i'll quickly join in. Choose it for yourself, I don't want ot ruin anything^^
Just the opening college exams had me busy, but i'm back now.

Nothing has really happened yet; the advance team found out some information about the expenditures of the Guild. General Coll has you and your men on alert.
