USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Imperial Thread

Started by Lord Melkor372 pages

Though the heavy machine fire can drive the Rebels from the walls.... so nobody would be there.

So by foregone conclusion to this fight you meant the fact that Imperials will be unable to take the Rebel players, as opposed to Osokans?

Actually, Janthis`s idea of taking Sasha so Ranad would have to ensure her safety sounds like only chance.

But are you sure you want to snap an attack against Sasha, if your goal is to eiliminate her as qucikly as possible?

Yeah on second thought I won't snap my attack on Sasha. I'll just Blast away at her normally until she dies. 😛

Well, none of the Rebel players are going to go down as fast as Janthis, and indeed it seems very unlikely that enough troopers have got up there to destroy the Rebel players.

Heavy machine fire is irrelevant for taking the walls. You fiire, they go into cover. You stop firing, they come out again. The only way you can get them out to be actually hit by such fire is to force them out by having men up there.

As ever, in any sort of war from the beginning of time, you need infantry on the ground to hold an objective. Everything else supports that.

You know what thinking about it I'm changing my stratgey for this turn.

Janthis will still be shooting Sasha but I also want two other troopers firing at her.

I want 6 firing at Rhys and I want the rest holding off the Osokans.

He will still be dodging named character attacks

Why not concentrate all this fire on Sasha then? Perhaps your assumption that Ranad will leave with her is right.

Still, I am not that good tactician. Perhaps other people have a plan for Janthis?

Well I'm hoping between Janthis and two other people shooting her that will do 14 points of damage but you right I need to take her out and hopefully have that absolutelty destroy her.

So Janthis will fire at her along with 4 other troopers. I hope that will do it. 4 on Rhys once again the rest holding of the Osokans

Janthis dodgeing any atacks coming at him.

Hmm, I am not sure how big a chance has a trooper to hit her, though. I think that entire one third of troopers that is to fire at Rebels should fire at Sasha.

Not very but at the same time I can not let the Osokans go without being shot and I can not let Rhys go a turn without hopefully sustaining some damage.

My only real hope is to have the Troopers take out about 3 Osokans.

Have Sasha taken out this turn which in turn forces out Ranad and get Rhys taken into the 30 point range. And I can not loose anymore than 9 troopers this turn.

I also can not get taken out this turn. If I do Janthis would have his men next turn cocnentrate half their forces on the Osokans with the rest firing on Rhys which hopefully Sasha gets taken out this turn. If not then theywould have to have half fire on sahs and the rest on Rhys.

And of course all this goes on the idea that Ranad leaves with Sasha.

If he doesn't then well I'm screwed because I jsut will not ahve the trooper numbers to deal if all three Rebels remain after this turn. 🙁

If you are counting of the slim hope of eliminating Sasha and Ranad, you should focus on this. It is always better to make sure that one person is out than to injure 2.

Thats true but like I said I need to get Rhys into the 30 point range as well.

Plus I do not want to under utilize my resources right now. I've got hope that me plus 4 other guys can get 14 points of damage. 6 normal troopers were able to get 12 points.

But man it is way to important right now to get Sasha and Ranad out.

So Janthis will have him plus 6 other troopers fire at Sasha.

Two firing at Rhys and all the other firing at Osokans.

Ok, time to sort this.

At the walls, the Rebels fire exclusively at the troopers.

Janthis snaps an attack at Sasha... but the first attack is dodged. He leaves himself a little exposed to an osokan attack but it misses. This gives him time for a second such snapped attack and this one hits!

Janthis has earned a frame advantage and can snap another attack... a 20! Another hit. Sasha's dodging has kept her in play.

Janthis orders toopers to fire on Rhys and Sasha. In fact, the combined weight of fire takes out Sasha. But this has made a great difference to his troop's ability to kill Osokans.

It's all over shortly afterwards. Two Osokans are left standing as the laat trooper falls. It's a minor miracxle how Janthis gets out of there; effectively taken out the fight on fifty damage, and every one of his men dead.

The Rebels have take horiffic casualties but the onus was on the Imperials to take ground. They have nothing to show for their total loss. This is a Rebel victory.

At the warehouse, there are no more personal scores to settle. But there's little to be done. Kyle and the Osokans fight the troopers in the main part of the building to a standstill but they are now under ST fire and the elevator is totally overwhelmed; those forces pour into the main area. All the Rebel forces must retreat to safety eastwards. Casualties for the Imps are again high but the strongpoint has fallen. Imperial victory.

Our inability to take the North Wall is unfortunate, but to the West...even if they manage to cancel the retreat, we will annihilate their forces.

Actually, didn`t Ush mention that we should have base 3:1 odds there next turn, because one of trooper units was in transit?

And evens in North battle is not a disaster yet, because everything is up to roll. Actually I think that Rebels had more luck in this so far.

Arvus watches from the roof of a nearby building as the AT-STs continue to blast holes in the now undefended warehouse.

"Nice work," Arvus says to Rylis and Jaiden.

"I'd've been happier if I'd managed to get Kyle before I had to get out...but otherwise I suppose I can't complain." Rylis replies, refueling her flamer.

"He always seems to be one step ahead of you, doesn't he?" Arvus sneers. "What about his pet bug? I blasted him down, but I doubt it killed him...couldn't see what was happening inside, I was too busy blowing down doors."

"Oh, I chased him off. He wasn't too fond of my spike gun, it seemed."

"I wouldn't be, either."

Can I contact independents at this point?

And congratulations, people!
