"Can I excuse you for the minute, Senator?"

Edit: What would the likely consequences be if Command has no answer? Trouble for Nidar or for entire mission of the Taskforce?

Probably both, though Nidar could sort it out eventually.

But if I inform Nidar now and he contacts the Command, we can avoid most of it?

I am trying to decide whether making trouble for Nidar is worth it.

Okay, I will do the following: Excuse Andran for a moment, than quickly mention to Nidar that Andran will be contacting the Imperial Command, so he should do it before him.

"Are you mad? It will take hours for anything to filter through from Command, you know what the bureaucracy is like! And what do you want me to do, contact them and try and take credit for Lord Vader's idea? Why does he think it is anything to do with Command?"

Janthis will make in observation roll when they get to edge to try and find anything a bootprint blood stain to try and put him in the right direction.

"I understand, Commodore. You may be right that Andran won`t achieve anything in the desired timeframe. Though I thought it would be better if the Command was aware. Excuse me for interrupting, then." (You have already "taken credit", idiot.)

I will return to Andran.

'It seems that Commodore Nidar is confident in the validity of his idea. You may indeed contact the Command if you wish."

Err, Nidar was saying that HE has no time, not Andran.

But Andran is likely no less busy than Nidar, right? And I actually wanted for Nidar to be more busy, so he can`t plot anything dangerous.

Could my Aide do this? We only want the Command to support Nidar, as they know this mission is important to Emperor, so they shouldn`t object.

Not no time as in he can;t spare the time to do it. No time as in he actually won't be able to di it- Imperial Command is too slow. He would have had to have done it a while back.

Whereas Andran can contact and ask Command in seconds.

But how? By the way, i wonder if Lord Vader would like to speak with Andran..... it could be entertaining.

Because it's a lot easier to check about something than to put something into position.

Furthermore, Nidar has simply said he's not going to do it. He's not going to claim credit for Vader's idea; he wants to live.

Hmm, but by taking credit he is actually covering Vader, so why Vader would kill him for it. Is Vader himself aware of the situation?

Covering? Vader doesn't give a damn. He DOES give a damn about people pretending thwy thought of something he did, though.

The move is legal, you know. Vader has the authority. It just didn't go through Imperial Command, just the same as it would not if you ordered it.

So I made a mistake by telling Andran that Nidar did it? But it will be Nidar who has to deal with Vader`s anger, not me?

So now I can`t tell the true to Andran, because he would like to speak with Vader, and tell him who said the lie.....

It might have worked a lot better if you had set it up in advance. As it is, it's a lie that Andran can expose in time.

If you want to back out, just say it wasn't Command that Nidar was dealing with at the time. Throwing Vader on the table gives you the get out.

(I say you do it, Melkor. Vader's quite intimidating...)

"Actually, it was Lord Vader that gave Commodore Nidar the instructions."

Andran raises an eyebrow.

"Lord Vader? In person?"

"Oh, I have forgotten to mention, but he arrived here. He also seems to be quite concerned about bringing peace and justice to Lanzar."
