USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Imperial Thread

Started by Trickster372 pages

How possible would it be for me to transfer the data up to the star destroyers without translating it?

I don't suppose I know Huttese, do I?

Janthis tells his men to keep firing on the raptors. Janthis though will skim the area making an observation to see what has the raptors halting.

Arvus will follow them to the smaller docking bays, taking mental note of which docking bays they are.

You weren't close enough to tell that.

However, you do run nearly headling into Kyle coming in the other direction, him having clearly finished what he was up to.

You may try and follow if you wish; it will involve rolls.

-

Lyle- you wouldn't want to do it in here. Ship sensors could easily detect an outgoing transmission. And transmitting the entire computer database is impractical.

It doesn't matter though- you have found the cargo manifest.

These freighters were carrying a large amount of weapons form Hutt space.

-

Your men, flying at the Raptors backing off, down two more.

But it doesn't take long to see what is happening. Many of the raptors have wheeled around to join with their colleages- and they charge, en-mass, one side of your circle only.

Two more are blasted down on the way in, before they tear into that side of the formation...

BATTLE SITUATION- FRAME 12

Jungle Clearing

Raptors x12: 14/0

Stormtroopers x53: 16/0
Trooper Leader: 14/0

Commander Janthis: 12/0

Ah! Now, does that count as evidence for quarantine? Who owns the ship?

If it's rebels, we got 'em.

Edit - It wold be good to note exact quantities and types, so I can say them later.

BATTLE SITUATION- FRAME 12

Jungle Clearing

Raptors x12: 14/0

Stormtroopers x53: 16/0
Trooper Leader: 14/0

Commander Janthis: 12/0

Janthis will order his men to turn and get into position to fire again.
Once Janthis gives his orders he will direct him and his men in the middle to fire.

It's not as if they advertise themselves, Lyle, but the ship belongs to the Hutts.

Quarantine... well, weapons trading isn;t illegal. Buying from the Hutts is LIKELY to have something illegal about it at some point, but that could take a while.

But more to the point, your illegal boarding of the ship doesn't qualify as much. If you want to make anything of it, the ship will have to be properly seized.

But what you REALLY want is the weapons. This ship is empty.

-

Your men scrabble to get into a new formation, Janthis, though your instructions aren't entirely clear- turn around and all they do is face you. They are in a circle.

Only 22 stormies are in a position to fire this time; only one Raptor is downed. But you and the troop leader combined down one with fire.

They are now in the midst of that line of men.

BATTLE SITUATION- FRAME 17

Jungle Clearing

Raptors x10: 20/0

Stormtroopers x47: 19/0
Trooper Leader: 17/0

Commander Janthis: 17/0

There doesn't seem to be much possibility of me making it out in time to order the seizing of the convoy.

If we seized this ship, could we find out who the supplies are being given to? I have an idea, though that's obviously not enough. Or could I do it?

Seizing the ship would certainly be helpful. Tricky to organise a raid on the starport though.

How many men does Lyle think it would take to successfully seize the ship? We might be able to land a unit or so in the starport itself, maybe.

So we'd have to seize it to find out who they were being delivered to?

It's the legal implications that are harder.

Seizing it won't give you any more informastion about that than you already have.

Okay. So can I find out who all this is going to?

No.

So it's owned by the Hutts, and it was carrying weapons. Now clearly the Rebels are Rebels, and so I can expect it's for an illegal cause. But I can't prove that.

And if I can't find out who it was supplied to, there's less chance of me knowing who bought it. Can I look at communication logs and find any records of communication between the ships and the planet?

Other than that, Lyle will wrack his brains for any more information he thinks he might be able to get from the ship.

Going for the comms logs will mean staying here longer.

I am going to have to stamp down on this continual mentioning of Rebels again...

Okay, I'll cut it out. Can we refer to them as Rebels when we're interacting with them - like "We'll follow the rebels?" or do we have to think of another term for them?

How much longer - since Lyle's the intrusion expert, what does he consider the risk of discovery to be?

EDIT - How many credits does Lyle have?

Janthis will order the front part of the circle to retreat into the second line while the back side gives some covering fire.
Janthis will fire while retreatinf as well.

Yes, Arvus will make attempts at following Kyle.

Ush, I think I will send some Stormtroopers to seize the ship.

Now, can I interrupt the convoy and get away with it? I think some Law checks are in order.

Also, I don`t believe that the person that stayed long enough on this world to learn some local language can be so ignorant. If this guide is some kind of smuggler, he had to make deals with local criminal undeground, right? He should be able to direct me to someone.

I don't think you can do that until I get out of the ship and tell you what's up.
