USH'S ORIGINAL TRILOGY GAME EPISODE I 'LANZAR'- Imperial Thread

Started by Ushgarak372 pages

This jungle blocks out all sense of direction, so it is a good job you made a good roll. You think you know the way back.

Well, I've established that the AT-ATs can keep their heads at least through the shield long enough for them to blast down the walls and then back out.

Would AT-STs be feasibly for use inside the city?

To the first, I actually said that wasn't practical at all. The AT-ATs should not linger in the shield else they will be vulnerable.

The second- definitely not. Even the speeder bikes will only be used in there with great difficulty, and more to the point, getting them even over breeched walls will be too much.

Hmm. Do we have explosives that could penetrate the walls?

And there's no gate to the city, right?

Yes there is, else they wouldn't be able to get in and out! There are four.

And yes, probably, but THAT much wall? You would pretty much have to take them to set them, in which case it would be irrelevant anyway.

As ever, it comes back to the shield generator.

Hmm. The gate would be easier to blow through than the wall, correct?

But most likely more heavily defended.

Then I will follow that way.

So blow down the gate and position AT-STs and the equivalent of machine guns there so the Osokans will be pinned by the heavy blasters and explosions and whatnot, in addition to advancing stormtroopers.

Where you attack is a tactical decision to be made once the fight starts. But the general situation remains the same- whilst the shield is up, attacking the wall will be incredibly difficult. You'd never do it in the time frame the Emperor demanded.

Ok, Janthis, you are heading back out. Any particular tactics you wish to use for your withdrawl?

Meanwhile, the freighters have lifted off. The smaller convoys you are following are reaching their new destinations- smaller warehouses, but otherwise similar to where you just left.

Okay, I have passed one very challenging exam, and now I can return to the game, though I have another one( but less difficult).

Ush, I remember I was trying to get into touch with the Guilds. Perhaps if my guide takes me to his contact, I can do something from there?

Nice going.

The guide has already met his contact for his time on the planet here. He tends to meet said contact in the bar (i.e. here), but said contact sure as heck is not going to talk to an Imperial Commissar!

There are vehicles pulling up outside, Melkor.

Outside of what?

Even though it may sound a little cruel I'm gonna have three bodies being dragged behind us that way hopefully the predators will go after them.

Other than that I want my men to maintain constant touching with one hand one the shoulder at all times.

Well, any clues on what I should be doing with my time?

I want to find some way to incriminate Lanzar with the guns and the priority clearance. Can I find out who exactly gave the clearance?

Hmm. If it would take too long to attack while the shield was up, we'd have to start the attack INSIDE Lanzar City. The only reasonable way we would be able to do that is to position MORE Stormtroopers inside the city, and give them everything they need to take down the shield generator.

Drakkon might not like that, though. We'd need an excuse as to why we're stationing more stormtroopers in his city.

You'd never get the numbers you need in. Lyle got a good look at the generator and you reckon you would need the firepower of a division to take it. Your troops would be totally unsupported by the rest of your force inside the city.

Your forces must destroy the generator before any major attack takes place.

-

Outside the bar, Malkor.

-

You don't know who it was exactly, Lyle, but it was Government cleared.

I'm really trying to think of a way this could justify Imperial control.

If Drakkon said that all the Lodges were peacefully under his control, could we then attempt to embarrass him or the Senate mission by calling him on why he then needs the weapons?

That's quite a pickle, there. We need a major attack to take down the generator, but we can't stage a major attack until the shield is down. hmm

How much damage can the generator sustain before it cannot function?
