what's more a fanboy trait... think that one character can accomplish a feat he's proven to do time after time after time..
or thinking another character can accomplish a feat he's NEVER proven to do regarless of mulitple chances to prove such?

how many 1on1's have either proven to do any of the things to wolverine that you want to belive they can do again?
I have to disagree with you Jinzin. In my opinion, that fight was a farily good example of CIS and PIS. First they have Firelord limit the types of attacks so that he doesn't kill innocent people and such a thing wouldn't be "honerable" (CIS) which is perfectly acceptable to me. Howeven the writers then fall to have Firelord use a number of his powers that would have easily won the fight (PIS).
All he really had to do is raise the temperature around his body (as he did going through the train) a few thousand degrees and Spiderman wouldn't be able to touch him much less knock him out. Also Spiderman is able to stay ahead of Firelord by webswinging. For a guy who must be able to easily reach escape velocity not to be able to catch a guy swinging through the air is hard to swallow. And then they have Firelord who can take shots from the Surfer get k.o.'ed by an exploding gas station and some class 10 or 15 punches 😑 .

lol.. are you sure you're really grasping the "honerable" part of why FL was limitng himself?
of course he could have won the fight in a hundred different ways but that's just not how he wanted to win...

agreed about the webslinging.
actually Firelord had a good deal more damage done to him that that... and the exploding gas station leveled a city block which he took at ground zero.. then there's no indication how many punches spiderman landed on him before dropping, could have been hundreds really..... no way of telling....
and franly that's not PIS either IMO Firelord's been dropped by one hit from herc... no reason why all the damage he took in that fight wouldn't tak it's toll on him...
still I really don't think this fight a a great standard PIS as it has been on these boards... you'll find more PIS in your average brick slugfest really.
