"Yes but out of respect to Kyle I can't eat at the moment. Sorry, no disrespect, I am sure that it is good but I just can't. I suggest that quit taunting me. You are making me feel uneasy and I don't like that.

Shatter nodded as she fetched another helping.

"I understand and no offence taken."

"So how long have you been cooking?"

Shatter looked over her shoulder from the rice steamer and then turned as she spoke, dishing up some more of the food from the pot.

"On and off, 6 or 7 years...I think...I've been moving around a lot so I've only been able to stay in one place for more than a year if I'm extremely lucky."

Morph closed his eyes battling with the little traces of evil still inside of him.His skin turned back to it's normal color as the faces plunged back into his head."I'm sorry.I don't know what came over me."He did infact understand what was happening to him. His eyes looked up at shatter hoping she didn't see him as some monster

Shatter smiled and sat down beside Morph.

"You alright?"

She asked as she took the first mouthfull of food.

Kyle quickened her pace when the mansion finally came into view. She could make out the large robotic figures being crushed, although she hadn't the faintest idea of what they were and then the metal manipulating man himself, Magneto. Her eyes widened in horror as she reached the front gate and made her way inside.

Magneto flew over head and was gone before she got inside and her mind was racing. Had she taken too long and Nakoma gone already? How could she ever forgive herself!

Pushing the front door shut with her foot behind her, the scent of stew caught her attention and her stomach went into a fit. The smell alone could have drawn her to the kitchen but it was Nakoma's voice sporting some what dry humor that sealed the deal for her. Kyle broke into a run and tackled the purple haired boy in complete relief, mindful so as not to hurt him though.

"A problem with sentinels?" Corinthians asks Magneto upon his angry return. His voice is spiteful although the mistake was not his fault. "To answer your question from before, I am as I've said a time traveler, two persons formed to become one, twins. With this time travel power also comes limited control of plant life and limited control over most forms of water. The only thing you need to know is that I'm here to aid in destroying the X-men."

"Yea I'm perfect. Just fine. His eyes shifted to Kyle as she rushed in.

Shatter wasn't convinced but didn't say anything more. She kept in her mind to talk to him later on about it in private. Although she didn't know the man, she wanted to help. As she took another mouthfull she noticed Kyle rushing in and greeting the younger male mutant.

Nakoma was going to continue his speech but it seems as if he was caught off guard by Kyle herself. With her presence now here, all of his worries and troubles left his mind. He had to remain strong for her and present himself with more respect. Although he wants burst out in joy as well, he remained calm.

"You're here? Where have you been all day? You had them all worried."

Shatter, by now had finished her food and stood for another helping. Turning to Kyle she smiled a little and motioned toward the simmering pot.

"You hungry?"

Kyle leaned in to whisper against Nakoma's ear, "We'll talk later." She then turned her attention to Shatter, "Yes, please I feel like I'm starving!" Pulling herself away from Nakoma she had a quick look around the room with a faint blush. It had been quit rude of her to barg in and she couldn't help but feel as though she had interupted something rather important.

Her smile faded to slight look of unease as she seated herself next to her bestfriend in complete silence. Come to think of it, she had never heard Nakoma attempt a joke or honestly being civil without her being around. Odd. Maybe this place was doing him some good after all. Still, her mind could not be at rest with Magneto lurking about.

Shatter put her bowl down and took out a fresh one from the place near the shelf, serving the rice then the meat and veggies along with some of the broth, taking a spoon and fork then handing it to the younger woman before going for another bowl herself.

"Enjoy."

Kyle took the utensils from Shatter with a shy smile, "Thank you.." she replied in a soft voice before looking down at the food in the bowl. She didn't quit know what it was called other then food but it smelled delicious and she wasn't about to be picky.

Putting the spoon down and taking up the fork she dug in and tasted the first bite. It was like nothing she ever had before and it tasted as good as it smelled, much to her relief. When Kyle swallowed the bite and looked up at Shatter her smile seemed more charming and friendly.

"So..where do you come from? I mean, what are your powers? Family.." she asked, simply making small talk but sincerely interested in her fellow mutants. She shuttered inside, Kyle still did not like that word.

Shatter shrugged as she served herself some of the 'stew' from the pot and then made her way back to the table and glanced at the young woman before eating then replying.

"I'm a matter manipulator and I have super strength but, my entire family's 'normal'. I'm the only one out of all of them with powers."

She finished off what she was chewing then continued.

"I left my parent's home when I was 18 out of fear for their safety and that of my two younger brothers. I didnt want to hurt anyone. So I found someone that helped me a little. After he died I began to travel and since then my time's been interesting...then I landed here."

And just like that kyle started fitting in perfectly with the others. This was a good thing for Nakoma because if faced with the decision to leave her then she would already have a comfortable home to stay in. Not wanting to bring the mood down anymore he decided to leave.

"It is time for me to sleep.

"Please stay and chat with us an bit more. We'd love to hear your history an bit more. What brought the two of you here"Jean stood up and walked over to the stove to get more stew.

Kyle turned to look at Nakoma. She wasn't a mind reader, but she didn't have to be to know his moods. This was only proving Kyle had interupted something important. Perhaps he was beginning to fit in and she ruined it for him. She was well aware of his need to protect her and she couldn't bare to be parted with him. While it was true then she some what fit in here she would cut herself off and drown before long without Nakoma by her side.

Her happy-go-lucky mood was to say to him without really saying anything that if I can do it, you can too. The smile disappeared from her face as she reached out and placed her hand on Nakoma's shoulder to stop him from leaving. She didn't say anything. She didn't have to. Her eyes said it all.

Nakoma stopped and decided to stay on her behalf and hers only. He sat back down beside her and told the shor brief version of his origin or whatever you want to call it.

"Not much to say about my history now is it? Grew up during my child years as a human and I was picked on by a telepathic bully for not being a part of the chosen higher race as one of those mutant supremacist guys put it. One day my powers emerged and I decided to gain vengeance the right way.

We fought for a while and he kind of had the advantage only because it was my fifth day as a mutant. Being an idiotic bully that he was, he thought that the battle was over. Out of a small sense of desparation and a some what morbid obsession with hurting him and making him feel all of my pain for the past two years I decided to be his judge, jury and executioner. My adrenaline kicked in and I was able to cut the flow of oxygen from his brain. I basically turned him into a vegetable.

I was young, but I knew and understood what I did and I felt no remorse. His just punishment fit the crime. My parents were then seen as freaks and parents of a monster. I was the demon seed and as long as I lived with them they wouldn't have an easy life. After watching the news and hearing speeches against mutants and how that one guy who stood so adamantly for his mutant bretheren I figured that I was no longer a child of my parents but as another link in the chain of mutant supremacy.

I couldn't see it clearly because the TV in the abandoned building had like no signal but his words were clear and had meaning. He knew that we should be treated with more respect. He cared for us all like we were his own brother. Still in the end the tragic hero which I call him lost to a team of his own kind. I was at the time enraged and decided to pay the humans back in my own way which sometimes included violence, but I did what I had to do to survive and make it to where I am today. I was the most beautiful bandit ever, well not exactly a bandit."

He then grabs Kyle's hand and holds it tightly and continues to speak.

"That was who I was until I met her. For Kyle I decided to tone down my thoughts and actions for the sole fact that it would be better for her mentally and physically if we didn't have to run from the government and dodge bullets. Well that is me, call me a monster or a young overly ambitious fool or anything in between. I do not regret my past actions nor do I wish I never hurt anyone. It's done and that is the end. Still I wonder how different would our world be if my hero succeeded."

Little did Nakoma know that his hero was Magneto and the villainous traitors were the people he were staying with. How would he react if he knew the truth about both parties? Nakoma then looks to Kyle to finish the rest and tell her origin.

Magneto looks over at Corinthians with an agitated look.

"There was no problem, it was just an unplanned occurence. I am not worried about the X-Men or their downfall. Right now I just want to know where in the hell did Prime Sentinels come from! Still, I will perservere."

"The past is the past. Can't cry over spoil milk right. Most mutants live this way but only an few make it out. I'm glad you were an lucky one that has moved up out of such living."
