Kyle tightened her hold on him and closed her eyes for a moment to gather her thoughts before opening them again. She looked out ahead of them instead of looking directly at him. "I do understand, I can't hold it against you so you have nothing to apologize for." Thoughts of the incident with the rain a few days ago came flooding back and she fought not to shutter.
"..When I told you earlier in the kitchen that we needed to talk I meant it. This Magneto guy..something isn't right about him. He's planning something against these..people" she couldn't bring herself to even say the word mutant, "..and since I don't know them well but they have saved two of my potential victims..one of them being you..I have to side with them. Do you understand?"
Kyle paused and lifted her eyes to look at his face. She could feel her heart breaking with each passing moment as her words began dawning on him, "..I love you to death, you are my bestfriend but I know that you aren't sure what side you want to be on..and I don't want you to leave me. I will go where ever you go but I can't say that I agree..."
She hadn't meant to ruin this evening with such heavy conversation but if not now then when should she bring the subject up and this was one of the few times they were alone.
