Shatter hadn't said a word for almost an hour, she was on the road now, on the way to meeting the person who saved her from slipping off into the dark side of whatever might have happened to her.
Brow creased, she turned into a delapidated drive and shut off the engine. Leaving the car and turning on its intriquite alarm, she made her way to the front porch, up to the door and realising it was locked. Her expression creased even further and she looked through the dirty window with a hand cupped around her eyes, squiting to see if anything inside was moving.
Without any luck, she glanced around and smashed her bare hand through the smaller end of the window, reaching through as her hand slowly repaired itself and opening the now broken pane so that she was able to slip through.
Once inside, she frowned slightly. The house was a mess, curtains where ripped and a thick layer of dust covered everything. There was dark patches surrounded by faded to signify the placing of now absent furniture. This made her concerned... the person who lived here would only have moved if it was really necessary. She made her way through to the kitchen and stopped in her tracks as she noticed a light flashing on the answering machine.
With a gloved hand she reached over to it and pressed the button. There was a tiny plume of dust that expelled from the machine as it's generated 'YOU HAVE ONE... NEW MESSAGE' resounded through the abandonned house.
Pressing play, she waited and her features relaxed as she recognised the voice on the slightly scratchy recording.
"Shatter... I'm sorry I couldn't stick 'round... those people who did whatever you did to you started making things harder for me once you'd gone... so I had to move on. But I hope the map helps... its in the freezer under the peas."
There was a pause and a heavy sigh made by the voice and then the message continued.
"I'm sorry I couldn't be anymore help... God bless you and keep you."
The message cut off as the caller hung up. Pressing the button, she deleted the message, taking the tape out and turning the black tape into a small peice of melted licorice.
Shatter sighed, licking her bottom lip slightly before making her way to the freezer and extracting the map.
Leaving through the front door which she left unlocked she made her way to the car and to her new destination and some answers.
(you can post now jalek, you can play Shatter arriving but nothing more)
