~I don't know how much time has passed since my character, The Armor-Clad Man, has attacked Naomi. Would someone care to elaborate? Let me know if my post is time accurate.~
Naomi was happy. Ever since the Armor-Clad Man left the school, in a most uproarious way, she was good. She found out what her powers were and with the help of Jean Grey and Professor Charles Xavier, two very powerful psychics, she met her mother on the Astral Plane, where she learned the history of her family and powers.
Every woman born into her family was is and will always be born a mutant. The first woman, Anita, was an offensively powerful force. With her brute strength, indomitable will and a natural ability in the art of fisticuffs, she was a leader. There was none who could stand against her. Nor did anyone want to.
No one could say that Anita was anything but a hero. Even in the 1650's, where were only seen and not heard, men respected her. However, a man by the name of Corin felt the exact opposite. For no reason at all, her wanted her death. And he had the means to do just that.
Money was no object in Corin's eyes and he wasn't afraid to use it. He had a suit of armor made that was enchanted by a being from another world. The enchantment made the suit of armor indestructible and capable of enhancing itself with the equipment needed to make the wearer a superb tracker and gatherer.
When the armor was first used, Corin was not expecting anything but what he paid for. But once he put it on, his desire for Anita's death was intensified to the point of his inability to focus on anything other than what he truly wanted.
Anita put up a more than admirable fight. But seeing that she had never encountered anything of the sort, she was brutally murdered. Corin had his victory, but little did he know that Anita had a fifteen year old daughter. No one knew what a mutant was and no one knew what powers would manifest. But Anita's daughter began to demonstrate the very same abilities as her mother. She went unnoticed by Corin for more than three years.
When the day came for Anita's daughter's vengeance to be exacted, Corin was unprepared and quickly killed. Anita had been avenged. Centuries passed and with each death of Anita's female offspring, the powers were passed on to the next inheritor.
Naomi's mother then told her that the predecessors were to train potential successors in the use of their abilities because, just like Anita, Corin had predecessors that were learning how use the armor for the sole purpose of killing Anita's family.
After leaving the Astral Plane, Rouge, Beast and Wolverine took it upon themselves to train Naomi in the use of her powers, seeing that the Professor told them everything telepathically. Luckily, Naomi was a fast learner. She took to training quickly. Her new friend, Caleb, noted that she was more than a lethal weapon. She had to be because in the back of her mind, she knew the Armor-Clad Man was going to come back. She would be ready for that, however.
