Colossus is frustrated, because his sister believes him dead. Rogue wants to comfort him, but as she touches him, her gloves burn away, luckily she is fast enough to pull it back before she absorbs Piotr. The australian sun heats Colossus‘ skin up and he still is not able to change into humans form (due to an injury caused by the Marauders). Later he accidentally burns his sketchbook with pictures from Illyana. Angered he tries once more to change back, but it‘s useles. After dinner Gateway enters the room and points towards Colossus, he wants him to step trough one his portals. The X-Men argue about it, but most of them forward it so Colossus goes.
In Limbo Magik fights S’ym and his overwhelming forces for rulership. She decides to use a necromancy spell, to summon the dead back to live, but before she completes it Colossus appears. Illyana is somewhat surprised, but she believes him to be a shadow image summoned by her sorcery. Piotr too is shocked to see his sister turning more and more into the Darkchilde. The fight goes on and is quickly ended when Colossus punches S’ym to pieces. He then learns why he really was summoned. Baba Yaga an old Sorceress from russian mythology had come to the school earlier that night and captured all of the New Mutants; only Illyana was able to escape in the last second. Baba Yaga plans to eat the kids, but Illyana can’t counteract her magik directly. Because sorcery is least effective against iron she thought of Colossus, since steel is a form of iron.
Brother and sister head for the school, which has tranformed into a dark gritty place. Piotr enters and easily defeats Yaga’s minions, but the place where she holds the kids is behind a narrow passage. Colossus does not fit through. After straining himself to the limit Piotr is able to change back to human form, now he fits through and fights Baba Yaga, but is loosing. He remembers Illyanas words that sorcery is least effective against iron, so he changes back into armored form; Baba Yaga goes down in a scream. Now Illyana can reverse all the changes with her spells. The siblings comfort each other, realizing how muches they missed each other, still Illyana believes him to be a ghost; Gateways portal opens and Piotr goes back to australia. Alone Magik thinks about casting again the necromancy spell to have Colossus around forever, but she realizes that this spell would turn her into a demon forever, she wonder why she got off lucky the one time she used it.
In Limbo S’ym reassembles himself, because he is now a techno-organic being. He reveals that Baba Yaga was a ploy to make Magik use the necromancy spell and condemn her. Now he decides to wait, because each time Illyana uses sorcery he knows the walls between Limbo and earth will weaken more, till Libo’s demons will rule earth.
