Isn’t fight for Christmas, an oxymoron?
pretty much what i've been trying to say.
people allow themselves to get all pissed off at the notion that
others are trying to kill christmas, buying into a right wing fueled farce
and allowing it to put a damper on perhaps their most treasured holiday.
but who's really forbidding christmas?
the government? the only thing forbidden by government is the display of religious icons on public property, for example the nativity scene. baby jesus
does not belong at town hall, simple as that. separation of church and state. live with it.
and then people go on and complain about businesses. well guess what?
businesses make their own decisions. nobody tells them they are forbidden
from christmas displays and carols. they DECIDE, as many do in a free country, to not play it. why? because they feel its economically advantagious to be all-inclusive in their holiday displays. dont like it? dont shop there 😬 personally i dont give a shit.
so, who else is killing christmas? who shall we string up from the highest tree in the name of good tidings?
