Miami Vice

I was suprised to not be able to find a thread for this.

Michael Mann is remaking the 80's TV show and will be staring Jamie Foxx and Collin Farrell. I was farily skeptical about the quality of this. But I saw a trailer today which is hosted by Bicardi Live. You technicaly have to be 21 to view this in the states but anyone who can do math can get into the site anyway..

Their are some things that shouldn't be attempted and this is one of them, however being a sucker I am sure I will go see it....unsure yet if I would pay big dollar and see it at the movies or wait for it to go to DVD.

Man, Mann makes marvelous movies!

'The Last Of The Mohicans' was stunning, 'Heat' was spectacular, 'The Insider' was riveting and 'Collateral' was one of the most hypnotic movies I have seen this year...

'Miami Heat' will be amazing, I'm sure...

Looks a little too "extreme". By that I mean it looks like one of those movies where there will be ridiculous chases with things blowing up everywhere. If its not, it could be pretty good.

I guess you don't know much about Michael Mann if you think it'll be like that...

Well, we'll see. I didn't necessarily like Collateral but you're right that it didn't have any explosions.

What I meant was, His Action scenes aren't very violent or brutal. But very suspenseful.

i saw the trailer for this. jamie foxx as tubbs? colin farrell as crockett? what the hell are they thinking?
all i can say is that they had better not try and make it comedic as they did starsky and hutch.

Well, I'm sure it wouldn't be that funny. They seemed pretty serious with the linkin park song in the trailer.

still, jamie foxx as tubbs? thats terrible casting. colin farrell MIGHT be good as crockett.
