Do you truly believe that if they seeked God they wouldn't find him? The fact is the human race truly wants no part of God untill a crises happens. We complain too much to God he has gives us everything we need to get to him, but instead of doning it we complain. Thats a big problem with the human race.

There reasons why God doesnt seem to hear our prayers.
1) Sin. If there is sin in a person's life, God won't listen to that person. Why? Because the person is stained by sin and God cannot look on sin. Until that person turns from his/her sin and receives Jesus and calls on His Name and gets washed in His Blood, that person is separated from God and therefore no prayers will be heard UNTIL that person receives Jesus and is cleansed in His Blood.
Isaiah 59:1-2 Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
Habakkuk 1:13a Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity:
Psalm 66:18 18If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:
So the only way to undo that is to turn from sin (repent) and to call on the Name of Jesus and ask Him to wash your sins away in His blood.
2) The other reason is asking for the wrong reasons: whether selfish or whatever.
James 4:3-4 Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.

3) Still another reason is because the person praying is not obedient to God and not pleasing Him.
I John 3:22-23 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.
So in short 3 reasons 1) Sin 2) Asking amiss or for selfish reasons 3) Not being obedient or pleasing to God.
The solution? Turning from sin and receiving Jesus being washed in His Blood which alone cleanses us from all sin (I John 1:7b). Praying according to God's will not for selfish gain. Finally living a holy and obedient life pleasing to God.
The first thing that must be done is to turn from sin (repent) and receive Jesus and be washed in His Blood. Until that is done, sin remains, and God will not hearken unto that soul until that soul humbles himself or herself and calls on the Name of Jesus.
The reason is because God is so holy and pure and no sin nor sinner can dwell in His Presence. He is light and white, but sinners are black and of the darkness. His eyes are so pure that He cannot look on sin. Therefore each human needs to be cleansed in Jesus Blood. Then will they be made white as snow and pure and clean. They will become children of God, children of the King of kings.

Obviously this person is hurting.
Listen to me, God does love you very much. He knows what is best for you. Sometimes He may not give us what we want cause it might hurt us in the short term or long term.
God loved you so much He sent Jesus to die for your sins, shed His blood and rise again.
God doesnt play favorites. Although it seems at times like He does, but in reality He does not. I used to think He does, but now I know better.
God really does love you and everyone I know this in my heart no matter what you or anyone has done.
Jesus blood is able to wash away all sins.
