We don't hold politicians at their words anymore then? (or just conservative ones?)

She's just as much of a back-peddler as McCain.

How is that back-pedaling? Enlighten me, please. I fail to see anything different then her current position

OK you win.

She's not actually taking back her vote for the war, just saying that she wouldn't have GONE to war if she was the pres.

No back-peddle there. 😛

I was saying that it does nothing to advance his point

"McCain To Speak At SC Abstinence Event" by the Associated Press

Columbia, SC—Most presidential hopefuls are trying to get people to say "yes," but Sen. John McCain plans to urge a crowd in Spartanburg this weekend to say "no."

The Arizona Republican is to speak Sunday night to about 1,500 middle and high school students about abstaining from premarital sex. Abstinence and abortion still loom as issues in this first-in-the-South primary state in the heart of the Bible Belt.

The event is to follow McCain's appearance at a hot dog and ice cream social.

McCain has had to make up ground with some Christian conservatives after a recent rebuke from Christian leader James Dobson, who said he wouldn't support the Republican's presidential bid. Conservatives question McCain's opposition to a federal amendment to ban gay marriage. He opposes same-sex marriage, but says it should be regulated by the states.

The senator is trying hard to avoid a repeat of the 2000 Republican presidential primaries in which now-President George W. Bush mobilized Christian conservative activists to ultimately sink McCain's campaign. Prominent Christian leaders opposed McCain in 2000, partly because they did not feel he was conservative enough on their issues.

Alexia Newman, who runs the Carolina Pregnancy Center, said her student rally is costing about $22,000. McCain isn't putting money into the event, but "if he wants to support this rally, that'd be great," Newman said.

"We're excited he would want to come and endorse what we're doing," she said. "It's going to be a high-energy night."

just because she's a woman....i should really find out more about both though shouldn't i?... 😄

That might be a good start.

There was just a McCain ad at the top of KMC.

McCain is pretty much falling by the wayside these days 😬

Of course, this is me, talking in March of 2007 😆

😂 Wait until he gets the nomination.

which btw...there was in interesting series of polls (in Newsweek or Time, I can't remember) about how little Americans know of Guiliani's policies and reputation.

Makes me wonder if we'll see his #'s fall.

i'd vote guiliani. he did an AMAZING job in new york. aside from 9/11, the city is hugely safer since his term.

Where are you actually from, because quite a few people disagree.

new york. 😐

of course people disagree. that's the problem with bipartisan politics; half the country is unhappy at any given time.

No. Thats not partisan politics...thats a 2-party system.

(and people are unhappy with their government regardless)

yes...bipartisan. two parties. what?

😂 my apologies...i read partisan.
