Why not take it seriously ? It's canon is it not ? You can do your best to try to ignore it but then again it's canon like it or not.
So is Squirrel stomping Thanos, Ego, and Galactus. I'm not denying it didn't happen, it's not cannon or even that it's unusable. Hell, Thor has had more impressive and out there showings but it felt like Pak was writing this comic while masturbating.
High showings are fine with me, it's the nature of the comic that won't allow me to take it seriously.

Once more time: I'm not denying it didn't happen, it's not cannon or even that it's unusable.
I just can't take it seriously, and can't help but laugh. If you have a problem with that, tough. Deal with it.
For the record, if you had substituted Thor for Hulk, I'd also be laughing and rallying for Pak to be taken off of the Thor book. Contrary to popular believe, I don't have a problem with the idea of Thor losing a fight but I do have a problem if he goes around stomping all his enemies. If this wasn't the case, I'd have a huge problem with two of my favorite Thor runs, Lee/Kirby and Walter Simonson. Thor's most admirable quality is his ability to step it up. He was never intended to be invincible, unbeatable or what not. He was always intended to be vulnerable but with the ability to step it up no matter the threat.
Comics shouldn't be shaped to match feats, feats should be shaped to match comics. To a reasonable extent of course.
