Cain was never Darkseid. Cytorrak wants destruction and chaos in his name. You can't use that line of thinking to argue he didn't get the full power.I still don't understand the problem people have with that showing. Colossus came off great. He might not have been as powerful as Cain but he was still kicking his ass. His ferocity, damage soak and unstoppable enchantment overcame his other disadvantages.
The classic Juggernaut was never the strongest guy on the planet, and the myth that he was always invulnerable without his force field is just that, a myth. The injuries Colossus suffered might have been more extreme than we're use to but it's hardly a bad showing as his healing factor was highlighted in compensation and Cain has been hurt by a lot less powerful forces.
As for the rest it wasn't a myth Cain has had good showings without his forcefield many times against top level beings like the Exemplars, Nightmare, even Doc Strange himself.
As for the showing it is what is was. A reallygood showing from Colossus against a magical foe which magic can damage a Jugegrnaut as shown in the past.
I would say the injuries were kind of cool because whatever injuries he may have sustained didn't even slow him down, and he basically said he didn't care about them. Which to me is basically in line with a Juggernaut in that you can not physically put them down and pain is just something that their minds make even though it doesn't really matter to them.
It also showed that they are top tier because once again just like WWH a Jugegrnaut was able to come in and use his power to to gai nthe upperhand or stalemate someone that was running through everyone else which the Worthy for the msot part have been doing.

Hahaha oh the irony. Not too long ago you wanted a writer who'd give Nova good feats or whatever and now you have Loeb. Richard will stomp Celestials or something eventually but he'll butcher whatever it is about him that you loved. That character on the cover? That's actually Blue Nova Prime.

I've known it was Loeb since last year. That's only part of my concern. However, a fundamental shift or a regression in the portrayal of the character post Annihilation and volume 4 was my biggest nightmare. The star on his helmet portrays the rank of a Nova centurion, not a Nova Prime. Looks like he's been demoted back to a regular centurion. He was a war general, and a leader of men. Respected by friend and foe. That shit looks like the current MASH version of Nova that follows Thor everywhere.

Blue Nova Prime?
Originally posted by dmillswhat could you expect I guess huh? :/ Loeb has that nasty little habit of messing with characters if it suits his purpose. I doubt he will offer much of an explanation and if he does I'm willing to bet its gonna be one that makes me want to cause him some sort of lasting injury. Gotta hope he pulls out a surprise i guess..(a good one anyway)

Maybe it isn't Richard. Yeah, that's it! Rich is still trapped in the cancerverse. This is a different Nova 🤪
