The fact that Deadpool is used to define "silly" and "a joke character" is even more sad. Once was a serious character. At least Herc hasnt fallen THAT low.
If Joe Kelly hadn't turned Deadpool in a parody of the 90's "badass" archetype he was prior to Kelly's work, Deadpool would currently be sitting in the character graveyard with other nothing, one dimensional characters archetypes like KGBeast wondering what might have been.
Previews...Action Comic Superman.
Seems like he has been toned all the way down to Spiderman level strength wise.
The stories are good though.

Movie Spider-Man stopped the train.
The train in Action Comics #1 appeared to be moving at significantly faster speeds than the one in the movie and was also moving alongside a pressured tube, effectively making that train more powerful.
Also, I don't see Spider-Man grabbing a wrecking ball by its chain and knocking a tank aside with a single swing.

And that train feat was a massive outlier - way beyond anything else he accomplished.

I would put him around Luke Cage level.
Originally posted by Ptr_GrifinQuite honestly I'd like to see deadpool take a darker insanity twist. Like Malkavians did in VtM. Going from jokers from fairlyland to I'm going to cut your throat with a sharpened clam.
Admittingly I like the more serious DeadPool. Luckily X-Force is doing him some justice. I hate that cartoony Deadpool who fights stupid looking villains like that vampire cow thing.

Yes, as Action Comics is stories of Superman just starting out and wasnt as strong as he is now. Its basically golden age superman when he originally was introduced.
Yeah but he still has those extra powers with the X-rays heat rays but he's more arrogant charge taking like a Red Son Superman but alot less powerful.
I think Superboy prime should've lost his fight with Sodam Yat.
