I'm not sure Ares could breat adamantium with his axe, so if such coincidence existed -Sentry resisting Wolverine but failing to hurt Ares-, it would mean that Superman can resist the claws without being adamantium hard. Which is the first step towards his durability being on an acceptable anti-Logan level.

The issue, however, is that I think we're walking into a no-proof zone in which no matter what kind of argument or showing I bring, nothing will prove my point in a matter satisfying enough to justify the effort of looking for said proof.
I don't care to though, because nobody gives any character in Marvel the benefit of the doubt when it comes to Wolverine's claws. Based on his showings, you honestly can't. We can be annoyed about it, and we all agree it's retarded, but we can't be all that offended about it. And I've seen absolutely nothing to suggest that Superman's level of piercing durability is so far beyond what/who Wolverine's cut that he should be given the benefit of the doubt. He ain't Citizen Steel.
Have a question. During the kryptonian war, Superman, Supergirl, and Superboy was trying to stop Brainiacs ship which ended with Superman being impaled by 3 blades through the chest. Was there anything special about those blades that was stated on panel...was it dipped in magic or redsunlight or something or were they just blades put together by brainiac? Wasn't those blades made out of Promethium?
Originally posted by carver9Hmm, well a few issues beforehand Superman's powers had been completely removed after Brainy blasted him with weaponized red sun radiation--and considering Supes was never really shown in direct contact with yellow sunlight after that, it's possible (and quite likely) that his powers weren't quite back to normal by the time he was impaled. I also believe Brainy stated that every piece of weaponry on his ship was designed to counter Kryptonian abilities.

The metal on his ship was certainly more durable than steel and such but I doubt it was on par with something like Adamantium. The Red Solar Radiation weapon he was shot with IIRC was like an on/off switch more than anything and he said it's effects wore off. During that arc, Red Solar Radiation was treated more like Gold Kryptonite.
That was a horrible showing for Superman.

Unless we are talking about a different comic, he grabbed Logan's hand between them and later held the back of them, never actually got slashed against it or even touched the edge. There may one where he did get slashed and such, but the only real fight between them that I know of was when Sentry grabbed him.
Wolverine was slashing Sentry during Civil War when he and Namor were ganging up on him and it did show Sentrys costume being ripped in the back, but that was in the background of the panel and you couldnt tell if there was any blood, but I would guess not. I dont think Wolverine has actually stabbed Bob though. Like it was said before, when he did try, Bob grabbed his hand and thrashed him.

👆 That scene was pretty brutal for a Marvel book.
