Quasar tells him (and us as an audience) that there are threats out in the universe much bigger then what happens on Earth. And then they depart. Essentially the last scene was a small bit of commentary about the state of Marvel in general where cosmic themes get dumped in favor of Earth centric books or some such. At least that's what us cosmic fans like to believe 😉
