OMG. Wasn't the Midgard Serpent's claim to fame it's venom which was powerful enough to kill a god? Unless that tooth/horn is coated with the stuff, they jobbed out Thor big time.
Let's think about that for a sec... The tooth would still have to pierce Thor's skin in order to inject the venom in the first place, right? Therefore, the fang is hard/sharp/magical enough to puncture his skin by itself. So even though the Serpent's venom is what would ultimately kill Thor, its fang can certainly/obviously harm Thor on its own..
The stupidest part about the whole scene is that Thor let Rhino get the drop on him.
Rhino's always had a powerful charge though, and charging with a midgard serpent fang is both a very cool idea and an obviously strong attack that would f*ck up (though maybe not KO/kill/whatever) most physical heralds on a good hit.

It's not a low showing for Thor at all, and according to Asgardian lore, until Fraction decided to turn it on its head for Fear Itself, the Midgard Serpent and its venom/fangs were intended to be the cause of Thor's death. Spinning this into a low feat would be like spinning an instance of Superman being stabbed by a shard of kryptonite into a low feat.

Yes lets. When they fought in Thor 380, Thor was killed by kamikazeeing the Serpent destroying them both. The Serpent was so much larger than Thor that biting him to inject him with venom wasn't even an option. His individual teeth were larger than Thor's entire body. So he swallowed him whole and Thor shattered every tooth in his mouth.

But it's been retconned (like you said), so the Midgard Serpent has nothing to do with Thor's fated death.

But didn't the serpant still bite Thor though?Or was the entire thing retconned out?
He's swallowed Thor twice that I can remember. Once the first time they fought to the death in Thor 380 and then later in the mid/late 90s forgot the issue. I don't recall it ever biting Thor to inflict either a puncture wound or poison him with venom (or it even attempting to do so).
Add that to the fact that the entire "Midgard Serpent and Thor kill each other" story has been retconned and there's no reason for that tooth fragment to have inflicted that kind of damage to him.

I've been to a few dubstep parties. They're hilarious if only to see people tripping balls.
