Want me add more fuel to the fire? Not only has the Midgard Serpent never bitten Thor, but the venom it's famous for isn't even liquid (so biting Thor wouldn't deliver it into his system)! It's airborne! I KNEW I saw that in the 90s appearance of the Midgard Serpent but I had to find the issue (it helps that I was digging through my Thor collection anyway trying to find the issue with the Letters Page that the writer issue an apology for the way the Thor/Rachel Summers-Phoenix fight went down) :
