Also the DBZ anime is not canon... and I really hope you're not trying to claim that Goku outran the light from the Taiyoken itself, because then you would be arguing that Kid Goku is faster than the likes of Vegeta, Dodoria, Frieza, Piccolo, Trunks, Krillin, and all of the other people it worked against...
He had seen the technique in advance and grabbed the glasses right when Tien got into the pose to prepare to use it. That's all.
Not to say those aren't some bad speed feats but it's just not as impressive as that old man from breaker: new waves. The old geezer just looks like he is walking past and people are flying all over him. Even another skilled ma was basically helpless against him on a later chapter (said person is also blitzing).
As for who is faster, no doubt flash and some speedsters trump anime with accompanying narration to their speed feats. That being said, they don't come off looking powerful enough. Take that avx2 feat of pietro clocking his dad after running several machs. That speed should've outright decapitated magneto.

Pretty much. I don't know why people have so much concern with Anime characters being far faster than DC and Marvel characters during combat. They'll do anything to discredit the companies ft. Sad, very sad.
