Mjolnir can definitely rock the Phoenix hard. Thor was injured in the first encounter but clearly not near death as "someone" suggested. It seems Thor takes on the Phoenix 3 times and in between those encounters fights a reborn Captain Mar-Vell and Noh-Varr. Pretty good overall.
Like I said earlier, the one thing Bendis has going for him is that he writes a badass Thor. I have no idea why he's so underwhelming in that other series.

Yeah well Hulk is in the other series so that explains everything.
Man, this is incredible and not in a good way.
The Thor/Phoenix showdowns make zero sense. Period. First (?) fight, Thor winds up in bandages. Second (?) fight, Thor causes the PF to run for it's life. Third (?) fight, ends with Thor near KOed on the surface of the moon. How does this flow from fight one to fight three?
Also, it seems the PF is nothing more than a low/mid Trans level being. It's highest feat so far, the destruction of a planet, is something even herald level beings are capable of (see Terrax, Gladiator, etc..). It's fights against Thor and crew place it in the low/mid Trans Tier. Hell, Thanos has given the Avengers more of a fit than the PF so far has.
Regarding Namor, this seals the deal. He can't even KO Cage despite taking him by surprise and even underwater Cage was going toe to toe with Namor and drawing blood. Then there's his latest fight vs Thing...........
Just......wow. 😕

During their second fight, the Phoenix containment cage aided Thor although the details are unclear as it couldn't even affect the Phoenix without the aid of Mjolnir and it was immediately at full capacity. Maybe it gave Thor the idea of disrupting it's form with Mjolnir and helped weaken it.
In the third fight it seems Thor was able to withstand direct attacks from the Phoenix and the hammer throw messed it up something fierce. Unfortunately it seems that an ember was able to consume the planet and reignite it to full glory, Thor was then blasted back to our Galaxy probably.
It's definitely intended to be a Cosmic Entity type situation, the writers have made it very clear. Tony Stark is even working on a device that can simulate/nullify the Big Bang to defeat the Phoenix.
For the record, the Phoenix atomized Terrax and the planet he was on just by flying through it. So far Thor is the only one to survive a direct blast from it which is pretty impressive.
Mjolnir is also coming off as very uber in terms of power.

It's the "flow" of the various fights I find confusing. It's crap writing.

What does "Cosmic Entity" even mean though? Thanos is a cosmic entity and so is Surfer. So far it's done nothing Thanos isn't capable of. It's not even a "Galactus" level threat. Going by on panel events it's solidly Trans Tier and nothing more.
And for sure Mjolnir is looking uber. Did you see what they said about it's enchantments?

You mean how they synch up? Yea, it's pretty confusing and that's without taking into account that Thor is supposed to fight Captain Mar-Vell in between the first and second Phoenix battles which happen on consecutive days. And he fights Noh-Varr before the third battle.
Thor seems to fight the Phoenix 3 times, Captain Mar-Vell and Noh-Varr in the span of like 3 days as far as I can tell. Pretty crazy.
I'm willing to bet that the Phoenix is intended to be a Galactus level threat or higher instead of a Thanos level thing. Thor just has a good track record against these types of enemies.
Yea, Mjolnir > Phoenix Force. 😄

Can't Warpath toss tanks or something? Yea, manhandling him is pretty impressive.
The symbolism of a man draped in the flag chocking a Native American while ordering him to stand down because it'd be easier was not lost on me.

The architects are racist against Atlanteans.

I think that's the correct fight order but I seriously have to ask you what makes you think the Force "ran away"? It went and ignited a planet or Sun (not sure which) which was what sent Thor flying. If I'm wrong I stand correction.
You can't place Phoenix in "the tier of your choice" just because of a lack of feats. 😬 The host is the one with the majority of feats. If anything, the Force itself is just not really durable.
Also where was it stated that the crew placed it in the trans tier? As for that Thanos comparison, the Avengers (sans Thor) wouldn't even dare to confront it at all. Maybe that's not what you meant but it sort of came off as a lowball to me.
