Thor had an amp though. The mother of all amps : the Power Gem. Thanos had no clue Pip was going to tp an enraged AMPed Thor into his living room.

The fact that Thanos' tech was powerful enough to BFR an enraged Thor tapping into the Power Gem even if it was only temporary is a plus in Thanos' favor.

No one is denying Thor had an amp (It wasn't the most powerful incarnation of Thor or even the most efficient use of the Power Gem however). Although it's pretty clear that Starlin thinks Thor would give Thanos a great accounting of himself, at least compared to someone like Surfer who gets his shit pushed in most of the time.

Yes, Thanos wasn't expecting a fight in his lab but that doesn't change the fact that if anyone had the advantage of surprise in that battle it was Thanos as he blasted Thor in the back to set of their skirmish.

It was a great demonstration of Thanos' technological capability.

You can't be talking about Glory because if it wasn't for the "spark" he'd be dead.

He never damaged Chaos King.

When did he "defeat" Galactus twice? What was Galactus' state of hunger? I'd bet starving. Damaging Celestials is nice and I'm aware of that but Thanos has never gone up against a starving Galactus or Celestials to see how he'd fare vs either.

Uhm that was Thor WITH THE POWER GEM that he was tapping into. This was stated on panel multiple times. Thanos did better against him than the Infinity Watch/Surfer/Dr. Strange (back when he was still Sorcerer Supreme). He wound up winning via BFR.

No I'm thinking of the time Thanos CASUALLY beat the Surfer to death with 7 punches.

The very fact that Blood and Thunder Thor w/Power Gem LOST to Thanos answers your question Carver. [/B]

So he didn't blast through Chaos King?

Look at his Galactus fights and let's not act like a hungry Galactus is weak because as shown during annihilation, his power output was more than enough to wreck planets and destroy solar systems in a weakened state.

I'm thinking about Thor tanking on Surfer plus a group of other Heralds stomping them.

Thanos got hit twice and resorted to a plot weapon...I don't get what's so great about that ft.

Thor lost to Thanos due to plot, not pure power.

How is that proof he hurt him?

You seem to be forgetting the floating canisters filled with the Power Cosmic Annihilus was draining from Galactus that were swirling about him.

With the Power Gem, yes.

They traded blows until Thanos realized it was futile and BFRed PG Thor. PG Thor lost to Thanos because of Thanos' excellent tech, tech that's at his beck and call (see the later Odin fight).

Thanos' tech is at his beck and call. As we saw later in the fight vs Odin, he did that exact same force block attack against Odin and he didn't have his gun on him or anything.

He wasn't on the losing end vs PG Thor. They were trading blows until Thanos realized it was futile and BFRed his ass.

The Thanos and Thor fight wasn't as long as you are trying to make it and again, you referencing that fight isn't good since in the same fight, it was stated a "normal" Thor could Thanos a run for his money.

Surfer beat the previous body of thanos animated by IG who took out both thor and thing at the same time.

It was long enough. Thanos was more than holding his own vs a guy that just ran through The Infinity Watch/Surfer/Strange.

See that? Anything "implied" and hyperbole mean nothing to me. Call me when it happens on panel.

Fighting ? Showing up and getting stabbed you mean.

That's how most fights between Spidey's and Logan's rogue gallery would look like.

I always wondered how Wolverine would do against the Sandman. Not too great, me thinks.

Most people seem to think Sandman wins.
