I am not sure how bad this ownage is. You dont really see anything but the look on her face and the panel says a lot.

Absolute garbage. The entire Phoenix Force needs to abolished after this event.
Sure there have been a few unexpected twists but why so harsh?
Guess you really have to be a Phoenix fan to be somewhat in favor of the event.
I really shouldn't speak too soon because if any version of the PF jobs with no reasonable explanation (after all that's happened in the past) then I'll be calling it crappy too.
I'm a fight guy so I appreciate all the battles going down. In the tie ins too.

The quality of writing is rather atrocious, and I know for a fact that everyone involved could do MUCH better. This is just a cash crab event designed to capitalize on both franchises fan bases.
It's not even about the power levels or feats or whatever that irks me; I've grown out of the battleboard mentality years ago, but rather just the horrible dialogue and huge leaps in logic that insults my intelligence as someone who likes to think is familiar with virtually every character present in this event.

Hickman's probably going to try to make sense of it best as he can only for someone else (ie. Bendis) to do whatever the hell he wants.Thank god the F4 aren't central to this shit.
Here he's trying to provide some saving grace for the PF , after the debacle with Thor :

There's not really a debacle to discuss over Thor's showing for the Force, which is par for the course considering how he fares against cosmic level threats as a whole.
I personally consider it a debacle , since Thor has generally had such types of performance against a starving Galactus . Maybe this is simply because of all the hype there was surrounding the Force when AVX was about to come out .
His entire history as a whole suggests that what Thor did to the PF is by no means implausible or PIS-y. When push comes to shove, Thor is capable of giving cosmic beings/entities pause, which is what he did. No need for Thor fans to make it into anything more or critics to make it into anything less.
"Yeah, the idea was here's was basically Phoenix versus a god, which, you know, seems like a fair fight. So Thor went and smacked the Phoenix so hard that he knocked the bird out. [Laughs] He thinks he won, but it lands on another planet and then all of a sudden the planet lights up and the Phoenix consumes it. At that point Thor realizes he's screwed, and we realize not even a god can stop it."
So it was a ko.... 😎

Except what he did to the PF was more than just giving a pause . Even though he ended up losing the skirmish .
I agree with the rest of your statement .
