Never seen a character take such a drop to his damage soak under a writer without an explicit downgrade in a long time.
I'm 100 percent with you. Im not as big a thor fan as you but I feel for his fans and I respect the character and his character is being used like toilet paper. And at this point its clearly deliberate. Thor's fans are getting a big middle finger.

Well, when you name your traitor "Hope" and you sleep under the roof of a Machiavellian egoist like Xavier, what do you expect your lot in life to be?
The X-Men are the reason why the mutants are f-cked over in MU 616. They should have stood aside and let Magneto wage his war on humanity. Then there'd be some eventual equilibrium reached, instead you have a cold war going on. Then again, comics.

Yeah, we'll probably just go back to the status quo.
Still, it would be interesting if Scott actually won. That would bring some ****ing equilibrium I'll tell you that. Or better yet go back in time and stop Cap from being ultra aggressive and starting this in the first place. I wonder what would have happened had the Avengers not screwed up whatever the Pheonix' plans were in the first place. Maybe Hope really could have controlled it.

IF the PF had resorted the mutants to their former numbers, MU 616 would probably have more scope for cosmic stories, as the mutants could stock the Earth-centric ones leaving Avengers etc free to explore.
Imagine if Cyclops had managed to train Hope to be a proper avatar, it would end The Avengers. There'd just be no need for them.
Actually, given Franklin is on Earth, there's really no need for anything/one else at all.
