Personally, I'm not a fan of Cap's portrayal thus far. He's always been a good kid through and through-- that's what made him so likable for me. But as of now, he's a punkass little shit. Don't care if/when he turns into a good guy. This demeanor of his will likely always stick with me, and leave a sour taste in my mouth. /shrug

I like it, because their taking him out of the hokee role that he always has been, and fleshing him out a bit more. Kids aren't hokee except for the square ones. Billy seems to have a clear grasp of how life really works. He doesn't seem to be being painted in a bad guys light, but more in a realists one. The artwork doesn't hurt either.

Billy was always pretty square.

I think Billy is still at his core a good kid, so it works for now imo.

In previous continuity, Billy WAS a square kid. He was so square/good hearted that often times it bordered on cheesy... But that's why the Wizard chose him-- because of what he already was. Not because of what he might potentially grow into, as was the case in this issue.

If you don't mind such a vast character change, then I can see why you'd like this-- but I've always been a fan of Billy, so this change is a bit much for me.

Can you imagine? And Dyker is basically the personification of evil so they'll really have fun with that one.

Old Nova foe. Around Thing level strength. High end durability. If someone manages to damage him he can regenerate from a shard if necessary. Will kill anyone. Women, children, doesn't matter if the price is right.

Bring Richie Back!
bawling

If Thanos is back with the Avengers, then....Richie comes back too? Assuming its canon. And takes place after TI 'Dead and Gone'.

The concept of a kid gaining Superman powers by shouting Shazam is made of win. Pure win.

DC wasting lots of potential. Always has...probably always will.

How are they wasting it?

Billy should take the spotlight for a while 131

I'm literally clapping right now. 💃

.....And typing at the same time? 😖

He types with his wiener.

He tells me it sucks because it always falls in between the keys.
