Having his TEETH knocked out by Captain America's shield is bad. A normal human with a durable enough piece of metal knocked out Thano's teeth. That's bad.
Coughing blood on his knees. That's bad.
Looking petrified during the entire fight? That's also bad. Not the usual grin on his face after a good tussle. He was terrorized.
Rocket Racoon was insulting him straight to his face much in the way Spidey does to Rhino or any other rogue.
Thanos was treated like a punching bag. They took turns.
Before the beatdown commences Iron Man even asks "whose first"
And at the end the responses from Rocket Racoon "I have to say you look pretty done"
That's a beatdown and a comedy on expense of Thanos.

Darkseid actually looked really good against the Justice League. They had no way of beating him and Cyborg just pulled a Deus X Machina to bfr him. He was actually beating Superman after Supes charged him and treating the League like anoyances. And before anyone brings up Aquaman's Trident, that's an ancient indestructible artifact (established in comics), not some random arrow.
In this case Thanos was probably saved by the Elders. He was brought to his knees by physical means.
He lost blood, teeth, rep, dignity, got pierced, got burned, got humiliated, got laughed at and left a wreck on his knees.
If you compare that to Darkseid, DS looked like a boss
