He already has. He fights against heralds who can and have destroyed planets and stalemates them if not wins alright.
Let's not compare Thor's best feats with the best feats of DBZ. It won't bode well for Son Goku and the gang.

I'm not angry. If anything I always get a good laugh rilin' Carver up when it comes to DBZ. And as far as lowballing Thor goes, it's whatever. It's funny and shit, but really, most people who do so are just having a good time with it which is fine, because no one sane wants to seriously argue that Thor's somehow "weaker" than he has been conventionally because it would require being well read or even having a passing knowledge of what happens in Thor's own titles.
Tanking an attack while you're already in serious pain from a peer most would consider to possess firepower equal (and some would say greater) than Thor's own and just being all "whatevs" about it is an impressive feat. No real way around it.
