Character Ownage

Same for the Avengers books.

Hickman at least did his research and has Spidey act douchey and like Otto.

Not surprised that Bendis more or less said "phuck you lol" and did as he pleased.

Oh, that was Hickman. That explains that.

Later he was in full Otto mode but before in the very beginning he totally acted like good ol Parker. But maybe Spider-Man moves in some kind of contunity bubble again, his stuff happens but it really doesn't fit really into Mainstream Marvel contunity. Spider-Island had the same problem.

Yeah. I don't follow Superior Spider-Man's ongoing, but it was nice to see Hickman at least cared enough to do his research in the Avengers title to write Spidey as being a stand-offish prick. And really, considering Marvel's writers tend to have summits with everyone on staff and generally seem to be "in the loop" more so than DC's, there's no reason why anyone handling a title shouldn't be aware of what's going on with Spider-Man of all people.

Enter Bendis. It's not the lack of quality that often pisses me off about the guy - he can write good stories - it's the fact that he literally gives no shit about continuity or the work others have put in before him. And it comes off as lazy writing and arrogance alike. I get he's "the guy" at Marvel, but c'mon.

He just writes the books the way he wants to, and doesn't seem to give a flying **** about characterisation.

When he first started, his dialogue was a breath of fresh air, no doubt inspired by Whedon's writing.

Now it's just samey bullshit.

Yeah Bendis' Spider-Men was pretty good. I'm so no looking forward for Age of Ultron anyway, was excited at first but the first 3 issues were pretty low quality, for me Superior Spider-Man tie in was by far the best, while FF tie in was retarded bullshit.

😂

That's not really surprising here. Remember when Hickman referenced the Galactus Seed in Fantastic Four 600, before Galactus' big battle with the Mad Celestials? If there is any writer in Marvel presently who truly respects others work, it's Hickman. That's "in-character" for him, lol.

That's about as much "in-character" for this guy as religiously keeping in touch with continuity is for Hickman.

That was awesome. I like this new Spidey. Too bad Bendis doesn't know what he's doing with him.

Shooter, Starlin, Gruenwald and TWENTY+ YEARS of Marvel continuity say "Hi".

ROFLMAO. 😠

^So it finally happened.

On a sidenote, is it for real?

We don't know yet. Need to wait until the next issue to find out whats going on. I find it hard to believe Hulk is actually worthy, especially this incarnation.

At least he finally talked.

As of now it's definitely legit-- as Thor dropped his hammer a few pages prior to Hulk picking it up:
