Why is a catgirl cuddling Thor?

Young Thor vs. Apocalypse and his Four Horsemen:

It's been a while since I've read anything with Apocalypse in it. Has he ever worn Celestial Armor or been a direct servant of their will like in this issue? I guess in the future he falls out of favor with them and is stripped of their gifts?

That's actually the Egyptian Goddess of Love, Hathor, and Amadeus Cho roofied here which is why she was getting all gurled up on Thor.

From what I recall, in the future he's only forced to undergo more sufferings as payment for their boons.

see thats what i hate about how thor is portrayed, he is always getting a beat down and getting all bloody and eventually he delivers the final blow and that suppose to be bad ass but it isnt, it still doesnt make up for all the ass beating he always recieive i hate that crap.

I reckon this mini actually portrayed how Apocalypse should be portrayed. It clearly highlighted his formidability ties with his celestial-blessed armor.

Sides thor is just a bloody noob in that comic.

Despite whatever low showings they amass in modern times, the Celestials will always haunt the skyfathers. 😂

Yea, Thor has had some low showings but whats so bad about this?

He's still young, and is temporarily at a disadvantage against an Apocalypse rocking Celestial Armor and acting as a direct servant of the Celestials on Earth.

He beats Apocalypse at the end and easily stomps his Horsemen who as far as I know are usually solid Heralds.

Oh okay.

Yea it sucks. Just one of those things. Hopefully Odin gets to face off against a Celestial at some point and does at least as well as he did against Galactus.

Always annoyed me how they retconned Asgardian lore just to better fit them into Marvel History. Well whatever, it was promptly ignored.

Avengers vs. Starbrand and Nighthawk:

Thor, Hulk and Hyperion are clearly intended to be the big guns of the team but that's hardly a surprise. No one really stands out except Thor with the opening shot.

i didnt like the part where he is sent flying by a headbutt and then "runs away", honestly even a younger thor should do much better.

Not my favorite part, but it's fine. It was made clear that Thor never runs, and he only took a brief intermission because Apocalypse was wearing indestructible armor.

He still, killed the four horsemen, broke into Apocalypse's ship and sent him running. That would take the X-men their entire roster, prep, and luck to accomplish.

He did all of this fighting as a brick, didn't use so much as even a storm cloud. And I don't even know if he was out of his teens yet.

Assuming that scan is canon, between this and the Sacred Invasion mention, this cements the events that occurred in Thor 300.

Celestials>>>>>>>>>2000ft Destroyer or any skyfather.

um... that's like 99% of comics.. hero goes down, gets back up, in the end saves the day...
😮

Lots of filler but this comic was still great.
