That's just a myth. Surfer was never cut off from his source of power.

I think it's telling that no other preview pages were shown, although that could've been a marketing ploy I guess. Whether Hulk overpowered the enchantment (there was clearly a lot of strength involved in lifting the hammer), was deemed worthy (based on the scans is the most likely scenario) or Banner used science to work around it, imo the only way this won't hurt the hardcore Thor fans is if it was revealed Thor aided the feat.

Pretty sure he was. Check Secret Defenders #7 for example.

That was specifically stated in Marvel Saga 25 that the barrier didn't cut surfer off from his power source. Pretty sure surfer didn't even appeared in SD 7.
