I seem to notice that Superman fans tend to have a deep seeded hatred for the Surfer. It's almost universal. And almost toxic. Is there a reason why this is? Surfer's not that important a character in the grand scheme of things (especially recently) tbh so I don't really know why they even bother. Hell, all he's done recently was co-star in a crappy movie. From the looks of it, the only folks who seem to mention the Surfer the most recently are Superman fans.

If it's about "feats", they should hate new Hyperion more, he's the one with the IMO, Superman-buster "feat".

And if it's about popularity, Batman/Iron Man are the only ones competing with him, so again, don't really understand it.
