Tbh, the only really knowledgeable and perhaps adamant Surfer fans I see nowadays are Janus and Bran. There's really no "Power Cosmic" camp or faction like this is for Hulk, Superman, Thor, Wolverine, etc. fans.
But yeah, fanboys in general are bad, regardless of who they pledge allegiance to.
Except for Doom. Doom has no fanboys. Only realists.

You forgot Vince...he is a dedicated Surfer fan. Even though Surfer doesn't have a lot of fans, everyone here still acknowledge his power.
In general Superman fans seem to love nitpick/hate on Hulk because there is actually another herald who can match Kal feat for crazy feat, and hate Surfer because he has the tools to deal with Kal more often than not. Thor Corps seem to have somewhat admitted defeat when it comes Thor vs Supes, but still have a burning hatred towards Hulk as he usually plays 2nd fiddle to ole green skin. Hulks fanboys hate everyone who doesn't agree he is the "strongest, most powerfullest there izz!".
It's a vicious cycle.

Sounds like Hulk-fanboy nonsense to me.
You all are wrong in your generalization.
Hulk was and still is my 3rd most favorite comic book character. This why I voted Superman, He-Man and hulk in that strenght thread. Just because i refuse to partake in the gammatards worship of the hulk, doesn't mean that I hate the guy. This whole generalization of superfans is the direct result of hulk fans inscurity in their hero worship. Nothing more.

👆 Supporting Surfer in a fight doesn't make you a surfer fanboy, in most cases it just makes you a logical, unbiased poster. Same can be said for Doom huhu

No, you clearly are and then pretending like its all in good fun.
Having said that, the Surfer "hate" is because of wasted potential. He has ridiculous abilities that writers ignore because he'd kill the storyline otherwise.
Surfer's time traveled under his own power repeatedly, he can see through time, he can re-arrange molecules on the fly, he's a confirmed planet buster, he can heal and raise the dead, etc...
I've been re-reading some of my Surfer collection and this guy is beastly.
