That being said, what exactly happened to the JL? The CSA kept saying they were dead.

I don't recall them dying in Trinity War.

Yes, the Darkseid scans are from Justice League #23.1. The Ultraman scans are from Forever Evil #1.

I was confused by the "Boom" on the second page? What caused it? Was it cause Ultraman moved the moon incredibly fast?

At the end of Justice League 23.1, Darkseid appeared to be experimenting on the corpses of several dead Supermen.

Hmm while the Ultraman scan is cool I dunno why everyone is so surprised and impressed given what new 52 Supes pulled off.
