Thanos is a solid high trans-level character. Of course he's going to tank screams from BB(which, I agree, are low trans-level.)

Don't get me wrong, it is still a very impressive durability feat-- it just shouldn't have surprised anyone, is what I'm saying. /shrug

meh to me its more that he handled them so well. I expected something at least a little more damaging at point blank.

So, I'm now wondering if "the voice" is nothing more than a purely sonic attack and not the electron disrupting force that it was originally intended as?

Just because Thanos withstood it doesn't mean it isnt what it use to be. I think you all are still forgetting about the person we are talking about here. What did you all expect to happen? Also, thanks for the info dmills about Nova. Very useful.

No problem.

Edit: Well, it's not only the Thanos incident, but the Vulcan fight as well. Actually, the Vulcan fight is even more damning in some ways than the Thanos showing.

BB's voice has been referred to as "sound-waves" for some time now.

Charles Soule (IMO) went from "who is this guy and why is everyone repping him" to the top of "overhyped and trite".

A book about Superman and Wonder Woman and the best plotline he can find is "Hey Superman I know you have been a superhero for more time than me and you punch villains on a daily basis, but here's mommy to teach you martial arts!"

LOL
That's it?
Also maybe he should read some other current stuff that state Superman and the JL are trained and the most professional fighting force on the friggin planet (as admitted by both Argus and the goverment).

Finally I never believed that WW is even in the top 5 of most powerful Earth heroes (maaaaaybe she finally can claim that now she is a demi god), so for me this book just misses so many marks.

It felt more than fanfiction than an actual professional comic.

That's because most writers simply can't write romance convincingly. Johns can and has (of which there are numerous examples). Morrison did it too.

It shouldn't be hard to write Superman and Wonder Woman in a convincing, adult relationship, but you'd think that most comic book writers had never even BEEN in a relationship with a woman.

That's a very sad thought...
Anyway yeah that issue was overhyped and as far as expectations got this one crushed and burned IMO.
The first issue of a book with 2 of all of comicdom's greatest icons should be, I don't know more awesome I guess? Less empty? Less safe?
Something more for sure.

It's the book ive wanted to see them do for over a decade now... And then they don't just miss my expectations, they shit all over them.

All I wanted was for it to be good. Not great, not exceptional. Just good. But nope...

Odin needs to breath unlike the Silver Surfer.

Odin should be placed in mid herald range at best. 😮‍💨

To be fair, we don't actually know it would work. And Odin has existed in space before. Maybe he needs to invoke his powers, maybe it's bad writing. Anyway, amusing moment, but it doesn't really smack of "Ownage" to me.

He was in mortal peril there digi.

ha-som

Agent Phil owned.

Damn... Thanos isn't one to hold petty grudges... Rich must've really made him work for it before he lost...

They've been, but relationships on the US are better described by Lois's bitchiness.
