FFS...

Why would they give Doomsday pincers?

That's the least of my issues with those scans.

What is it? Superman having no MA skills currently?

Wonder Woman barely being able to lift a tiny two-man plane is kind of shitty as well.

Not even that. She says that he's never been trained to FIGHT. Like, at all. Which is a blatant contradiction of earlier showings. They do this shit a lot when they put Superman in a comic with Wonder Woman or Batman. What, the writer can't make them relevant without making Superman look bad?

True, even if you take in to account stuff like weight and momentum, she really should be catching it more easily.

And it's not only about feats. The power of his voice and his reluctance to use it added a unique and formidable gravitas to Black Bolt. Anyways, this is just my opinion.

Diminishing returns and all...

What I got from it is, Wonder Woman will train Superman and he'll end up being even more powerful than what he currently is. I dont see anything wrong with that.

Also, I'll let Rage find out about how Thor feels about kneeling... he should like it

Awesome feat, but if Hickman's work on the Mad Cs is any indication, the low-level heroes might end up performing nicely against Thanos in the coming issues.

He didn't even seem to be affected by it, apart from his clothes being torn off. Not even any evidence of shielding that I could see.

In other words, yeah, I expected BB's scream to have done a bit better than that.

Tbh, in Bran's 2nd last scan, his face is all bloodied up from tanking those multiple screams.

The Thor scans were pure awesome.

Thanos being above heralds.
What's new about that? And he bled a lot from the screams, still took them like a baws (a bleeding one but still).

Superman/WW was amazingly bland. Charles Soule using BS like that does not bode well for his grasp of the characters.

Agreed.

Superman and WW was kind of just ordinary. Nothing special at all.

I expected something more explosive and wide screen. I mean, the two (arguably) most powerful beings on the planet teaming up should be something really special. Anyway, its just one issue and I hope that things get better later.

All that being said, WW struggling to catch that small plane was kind of retarded. Honestly, in terms of power levels, I'm not sure DC have a fixed level that WW should operate at because she seems to change in levels at different times.

Charles Soule (IMO) went from "who is this guy and why is everyone repping him" to the top of "overhyped and trite".

A book about Superman and Wonder Woman and the best plotline he can find is "Hey Superman I know you have been a superhero for more time than me and you punch villains on a daily basis, but here's mommy to teach you martial arts!"

LOL
That's it?
Also maybe he should read some other current stuff that state Superman and the JL are trained and the most professional fighting force on the friggin planet (as admitted by both Argus and the goverment).

Finally I never believed that WW is even in the top 5 of most powerful Earth heroes (maaaaaybe she finally can claim that now she is a demi god), so for me this book just misses so many marks.

It felt more than fanfiction than an actual professional comic.

Against a f*cking Skyfather, though. The power gap between him and BB is staggering.

But the voice has always been an above Herald level attack and the scream has been well beyond that - akin to Thor's Godblast. As Rage said earlier it has at its best scared off beings closer in power to Galactus than Thanos.

Did the cube KO him? Misremembered the feat maybe. I rescind that particular example.

Looking again he was apparently mentally restrained shortly after but the mostly drained cube certainly put him down and Thanos certainly didnt no-sell it:

This was also shortly before Thanos was completely disintegrated by some generic antimatter grenade that presumably anyone could buy at space Kmart.

But I fail to see how invoking Galactus in any context justifies saying BB should do better. You're better off talking about Odin...the power gap between them is at least mildly less unfathomable.

You have this backwards. The argument isnt that BB should have done better than Galactus. Your previous argument was that we should have all expected Thanos to no-sell this because he has survived things that were arguably worse - despite the fact that pretty much anything that falls in this category was pretty devastating to him. IMO its akin to trying to justify a showing where Hulk laughs while Thor pounds him as hard as he can with Mjolnir based on the fact that he once got beaten up in a fight with Zeus. One thing doesnt follow from the other. Thanos being much less than Galactus doesnt tell us anything about whether or not he should tank the voice.

He shot him in the dick....
