So basically they took Nova's strategy from when he and the WM hacked Annihilus and programmed the bugs to destroy themselves and ramped it up a bit? Cool...On another note, this event vs Annihilation thus far. What say you ODG?
It's been pretty good, but not impressed by these Builders.

http://s1143.photobucket.com/user/carver9/media/snapshot11_zpsf5170468.jpg.html?sort=3&o=0They didn't fight them the way Thor and Captain Universe did. This is one of the only times they fought against them.
On a side note looks as though Glads is about to get his hands dirty 😉

Unclear. But it took just one Builder to turn the entire Annihilation Wave on itself. Literally.
Interesting. Thanks 👆

I don't know, the Builders haven't really done much in terms of conventional power. That being said, they are obviously supposed to be ridiculously powerful. One of the reasons they sent Thor was because no one had any idea if the Builders could even be hurt or beaten. And the Supreme Intelligence seems to be in denial that one could actually be taken down. Also, as pointed out, a single Builder defeated the entire Annihilation Wave:
Which is....ridiculous, to say the least.
I assumed they were uber, but hadn't really seen much with them at all. Thor landed a massive attack on the builder That's what he should do to the Hulk sometime.

If so, I think Nova's feat is comparable only on the surface because of the sheer scope and ease with which the Builder did what he did.

On another note, Infinity >>>>>> Annihilation.
Thanos' global invasion of Earth is being handled very well; I like the campaign to assassinate Thane with the Inhumans caught in the crossfire and I like Namor and Black Panther's private war with each other even more than that. It could be an event on its own. The war against the Builders is flashy, dramatic and very well-done. It also could be an event on it's own. And yet, the real suspense and dread is the secret behind it all: the Incursions and the collapse of the Multiverse. From the very start of New Avengers, this is all just the culmination of Cap's warning to the Illuminati:
Well... guess who just found the Illuminati's secret stash of anti-matter injection bombs built for the purpose of destroying Earths during Incursions:

I have an idea of where this is headed and I think it's really brave from a story-telling point of view.

That he hits harder? No, I'd rather use one of his many feats than some feebs perspective. Of course it happened right now I'd use it for the lol's, but that's it.
Don't believe you. When it comes to verbage involving Thor and Hulk, Hulk trounced him, but, I only brought that up because you brought up Thor dirving Mjlonir through Hulk.

LOL. You know I'm only looking for an excuse to mention Rich lol... You're correct though.
Really? That's one hell of an endorsement.
My concern with an event involving the Avengers proper, the Hulk, Thor et al is that you know in the end that nothing will happen to those people. No real lasting consequences or collateral damage so to speak. It's like Star Trek. The Enterprise arrives on some new planet, Captain Kirk, Spock, Dr. Mccoy and two random red shirts are beamed down to the surface of the planet. Once the danger starts, you automatically know that nothing is going to happen to Captain Kirk, Spock or Mccoy, but we know that the two random red shirts are phucked lol.
That said, you know I'm a sucker for the cosmic so... I'll get into it eventually.

They stalemated their forces (Alephs etc.) but they didn't fight the actual Builders.
From the issue it seemed like the Hulk/Hyperion group (Rigel) won (though its somewhat unclear) while another group (Formuhaut) stalemated the Builder forces and another group (Chize) lost.

Fifth, what scene of infinity are you all talking about? I was unable to get the one starring Carol as Binary. Is this the one?
Avengers #21. The fights were getting progressively worst but I don't think any of the Avengers were winning.
