For the record. it wasnt some weak jobbing version of Wrecker. Here's a scan from the same issue.

Don't have access to the scans but didn't the next panel have Thor immediately hitting Kalibak back. And then the next time we see them, he knocks him out with a punch?

We've seen him drawing blood. Thor's skin breaks easily, canon fact.

Not to mention Kalibak was just fine after two pages and never shown knocked out. Thor compared his strength to hulk's after Kalibak shrugged off a sucker mjolnir attack to the back of his head.

It was made very clear that Taskmaster did nothing to Thor. Maybe, just maybe, it was a result of the U-Foes and the other more powerful beings beating on Thor at the same time?

That implies Thor was on the losing side or would be unable to knock him out without John.

Do you have scans? Because I recall Thor having everything under control when we last saw them. As a matter of fact, I remember him having a casual chat with someone as he knocked out Kalibak. I'm guessing that was John.

For the record, I have no problem with Kalibak putting up some type of a fight against Thor. Were you expecting him to easily one shot Kalibak? Possible sure, but not casual everyday Thor who isn't even serious.

Here Thor suckers Kalibak.

Kalibak manhandles Thor and Thor compares his strength to hulk and relies on mjolnir.
