Thanos, like an avatar of Darkseid, is a Team wrecker and would do well but go down in an JL comic. But should he appear in an Superman or Superman/Batman comic, he would get his sh1t pushed in by supes alone 😉.

Superman is at average an High Herald. He taps into Trans and Skyfatherlevels from time to time, like in FC or OWAW. The same is true for all top High Heralds like Thor, Hulk, Silver Surfer etc.
Darkseid is beyond Superman most of the time, even his Avatars. Darkseid is an Abstract being or was before DCnU, now I dunno but this means he is also beyond Thanos. Thanos is more on Darkseids Avatar level. So we agree 👆 .
Yes, superman got owned against Darkseid. The way it should be. Superman on average should lose against Thanos but both at their best, without outside forces and Thanos goes down^^.

Honestly, Abnett is one of my favourite writers. He did amazing work with Aquaman, and his Warhammer 40k stuff is pure awesome. I was so happy when he signed on to write Superman, so to read what he eventually gave us was a major let-down, imo.

Wow carver I didn't even see that scan of one of the black order members using their powers on hulk comicbookresources are slipping, they only showed the original 3 preview pages. Its no surprise that hulk is losing, he has to lose here. Don't worry though Hyperion will rescue ol' hulk then he will proceed to solo Thanos and his entire black order. Then he will fly to new York and tell the blue marvel to stand aside as he single handily defeats Shuma. Then seeing how new York is destroyed he will simply fly outer space and orbit the planet at light speed causing everything to go back in time then everything will be perfect again.

Thanos at his best is behind Superman. His best is resisting universal powers aimed solely at his destruction. He's practically undebatable.
