I think you hit the nail on the head here.
Hickman has largely removed what was left of the humanity and grounding of the Avengers, something that was already lacking in recent years and often lost in Bendispeak. They are too far removed from what they used to be, characters who were still very human despite their powers.
A team with a Hulk, Thor, Starbrand, Captain Universe, Hyperion, etc. should probably mop the floor with most threats, but the newer characters haven't been defined that well.
And yes, Marvel characters shouldn't be out saving the damn universe all the time.

For meaningful relationships.... find the girl who finds it adorable as you be yourself.... this will be rare and any you find should be a keeper. Also don't get attached to hypermaterialistic girls who use you and your paycheck to get what they want for something that essentially costs nothing beyond a certain amount of promiscuity. Also try in the category of "one of the guys" type of girl who actually can understand guy talk whether it is comic books, sports or gaming. Infiltrators are easily spotted on the first outing and should be promptly ousted if they have made claims of being a fan of a particular subject just to get close to you. Other than that, its a crapshoot.
