Superman's brand value shits on Thor. Its not even a contest, why would any Superman fan envy Thor?

You're not a Superman fan if that's what you're saying. No one can dirty a character in their debating like you do, and be a true fan.

You're a feat fan though :up;

Well there are multiple reasons for Thor envy of course, I'm not particularly interested in whats yours are.

Well, I'm not going to argue whether I'm a true Superman fan or not and this is my last post at this point, but I am just stating a fact. Thor is a great character, he's no Superman though. That's nothing to be ashamed for. Very few fictional characters can match Superman in that regard.

Oh and my favorite version of Superman is Morrison's early Action Comics Superman. Must be keeping with being a "feat fan".

Both Kurt Busiek and Tom Brevoort have denied so countless times. To think it was some conspiracy and marvel somehow let Thor lose to Superman is lulzworthy. Thor lost and it was decided by both companies. Its just that marvel fanboys can't accept it even 11 years later. I'd ask you to provide a single proof that it was rigged outside "Thor lost to superman and I don't like it." but I know that no such proof exists.

Predictable response. There's a process to decision making. You think they were both like 'Superman wins' without a sliver of consideration. Many factors decided the winner, but Superman certainly didn't win by the merit of his character, he won because he's a brand, fully driven and backed by DC. You can't compete with that. Thor on the other hand is just that: a character. As for them denying it 'countless times' well, that's not much guarantee of anything really; I would never be so naive.

You even said it yourself, "Superman's brand value shits on Thor". Why would DC ever allow their flagship character to lose in such an instance. They are first and foremost a business and Superman losing would have been bad for business. It's really that simple.

If we're going by how DC wouldn't allow Superman to "lose" in a crossover, Venom was beating Superman as ridiculous as it was in one of those crossovers. So pardon me if I don't buy what you're selling.

Oh no... How awful that must have been for you. I suspect it was very traumatic. You have my utmost sympathies...

Anyway, getting beat up for any hero is a formality, the byproduct of plot. I have not read this crossover, but the way you worded you're response makes me think the Venom beat-down was inconsequential in the end, and far from an outright loss for Superman. Ergo, you have a flawed comparison. Besides, Superman has been duped by less in his own universe, taking a beating from Venom in a crossover as ridiculous as it may be is consistent with this, so what is your point really?

I can't help but laugh at this poor attempt of baiting. No thanks sir, I don't have time for this and this thread is not the place to discuss.

Mate, anything Thor related to you is bait, or anything not pro-Superman for that matter. That is not my problem, it's solely yours. However, perhaps you are at least right about one thing: it might not be the most appropriate place for such a discussion. Still, I am yet to see any harm done from it.

It's always a pleasure with you Abhi.

You're not, there's nothing to argue really.

Popularity wise, there is no comparison. But, not a lot of charcters are, regardless of whether they're "better" or not. Thor, is a superior character, yet he will not be as famous as Superman. Ever. So what?

That's good for you. Try representing that version of Superman Instead.

Lol Thor won the argument.

Thor is a superior character? Hahahaha. There was a thread like that on herochat.

http://herochat.com/forum/index.php?topic=111482.0

Suffice to say, hitting things very hard isn't a sign of character superiority. But if you like we could open a thread about who is a better character and has better stories.

Will do. Unlike Thorbags who only know to complain when Thor gets depowered somehow.

👆

Guys, to each his own, each char has deep stories and can be portrayed in a interesting and challenging way, it depends more on the writer than the Char itself. So no one is superior to anyone, thor is as good as supes and vice versa, it's just a personal preference, style etc. Live and let die.

thor has interesting qualities but of course he's "not superman" so there will be bellyaching from that one

lol. Right in the e-ego apparently.

Neither is wearing your underwear on the outside. -shrug- but what does either have to do with anything?

Do whatever. I certainly am not going to spend hours arguing with someone who will dirty his character like you to get a last word on an internet forum though. Not if there isn't a definite end like a battlezone or something.

I don't even know what that was directed towards. If you need to throw an e-jab, at least have it make sense.

Very true. It's not always the case with characters of course, some are just not on par with others storywise, but with guys like Thor/Superman it tends to become a matter of opinion. I'll rustle Abhi's jimmies about it though 👆

That post didn't even made any sense. But do tell me how I dirty Superman as a character to get the last word. I'm curious.

But back on topic, Maelstrom ****ing owns Supergirl.

Because Thor is a better superman than superman in his own book

Not really. Pak's Action Comics is knocking it out of the park.
